Road Lining on Newburg Road

I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation for this road painting job on Newburg Road in Lower Nazareth.

  1. Bernie I don't believe that the yellow line in the photo is a painted yellow line. During the times when contractors are working on a construction project, if they have to move traffic or divert traffic in order to work they use temporary yellow tape. The tape needs to be placed when the roadway is free of grit and is completely dry lest it won't adhere to the roadway properly. Once the project is complete the temporary tape is removed and the roadway is striped with permanent paint. I believe this might be one of those cases.

  2. I suspect you might be right, but it's completely irresponsible to leave that kind of tape in place at night to confuse motorists. It's actually unsafe for poor drivers like me.

  4. Of course, first reply is correct. And……what could anyone be confused about? Would a driver actually try to follow the line? lol

  5. The "me first" movement sure has reared its ugly head at construction sites. Enraged by. temporary inconvenience such as a detour on paving projects. The same people with demented political views as they complain about everything on FB.

    1. Where's the "rage" of which you speak? Just another easily triggered Boomer who can't take a joke.

    2. I was referring to another paving project in Lehigh County. The contractor is doing a great job but people are too impatient to the point they could cause a safety concern for the workers. A women gave me two fingers because I would not travel through a red light. She really wanted to move 50 more feet to stand in the next line. Bit hey, her opinion, her voice. Act as insane people should be the motto.

  6. It looks like Lower Nazareth’s rendition of Trumps border wall. It’s ill-conceived and incomplete.

  7. Interesting that 9:02 and 9:03's comments crossed.

    "Demented political views."

    Indeed.
