Scheller Bans WFMZ From Private Election Watch Party

Taking a page out of the Doug Mastriano playbook, LV Congressional candidate Lisa Scheller banned the press from an election watch party as votes were being tabulated.  WAEB's Bobby Gunther Walsh made this observation during his morning broadcast, adding that "chucklehead" Steve Lynch pulled a reporter away.

This in turn drove newly elected Republican State committeeman Steve Lynch, who denied he was even there. Lynch called Walsh a "bold-faced liar" and demanded that Walsh allow him on his show for a "productive conversation."

I'm surprised he didn't challenge Walsh to a duel.

Regardless whether "chucklehead" Lynch pulled anyone away, the fact remains that Scheller shut out the press from what is almost always an open event. Was Xi Jinping there? Was she afraid she might be questioned about her business ties to China and its blatant denial of human rights.

That's the story, not the chucklehead. Thanks for making us all aware, Steve. You're already doing a great job for your party.

  1. While I fully expect an inflation/energy prices based Red Wave to sweep lots of Republicans into national office this Fall, I suspect Scheller may still lose to Susan Wild. Scheller very narrowly won her own primary, and the national Democrat Party will spending millions, running plenty of negative ads exposing her China links in the Fall.

  2. I though Lynch was on the Dellicker team?

  3. Did Lynch Win or did he just win the Republican nomination, did any of the other Lynch mobbers win as well?

  4. i am a republican and my vote against Scheller had mostly to do with a vote against lynch and his gravy seals and the rest of his ilk.

I wont vote wild, but i also cannot vote for a candidate that associates with individuals like lynch. At a certain moment, the party has to return to the center and not deal with the crazies.

  5. Dr. Oz didn't allow WFMZ in either. However, Bo Koltnow did interview Lee Snover outside of the place Oz was hosting his party. Snover was attending the party but took time to come out and praise Oz.

  6. Neither did OZ have the room for WFMZ (after allowing major network media inside).

  7. FROM BO KOLTNOW's TWITTER ACCOUNT-- "Dr. Oz campaign election night headquarters in Newtown. Only one local news station allowed in the main room. WFMZ not them."

  8. Lynch had one of his roid rage episodes this morning, foaming at the mouth because a middle-aged man called him a name. His such a man-child.

Thankfully, he’ll never hold any significant position of power because if he’s spazzing out over “Chucklehead”, wait until he goes against a real opponent.

Lynch received 28 mail-in votes. Will he decline these?

  11. After the WAEB / iHeart settlement for allowing Bobby Gunther Walsh and "The Blog Mentor" to lie on the air, should BGW ever be reporting anything ever again?

    Tune in Monday @ 9:45am.

I will be joining Bobby Gunther Walsh Monday at 9:45 a.m. on air. Out of respect for our interview and being that he did get back to me and is having me on his show I am going to remove my post with my email to him. I want to go into that interview level headed so he and I can have a productive conversation and let the chips fall where they may. I think it's the professional thing to do and I'm going to do that right now. So again if you want to hear Bobby and I talk on Monday it's going to be at 9:45 on WAEB.

  13. Lynch called for Walsh to walk back his comments, and in an ironic twist, it was Lynch walking back his.

Lynch must have handlers now that he won because that video of him 'roid raging right after breakfast this morning was taken down pretty quick. And he quickly became 'professional' although according to his comments he knows exactly what he's doing and this is a strategy. Taken straight from TFG playbook.

He's gotten in so far over his head he doesn't even realize it. Sadly no one who voted for him does either. So many R's voting D or not voting because of this phenomenon in our country. This is the real reason our country is a disaster right now.

Lynch & some of his Mobbers won? Guessing Scheller (china) bought those votes.
Also guessing Chucklehead won't be claiming any voter fraud this time around. Rest easy Elections Office.....no Lynch Mob storming the office demanding to see all the ballots this time around.
R.I.P Northampton County Republican Committee -at the hands of the Lynch Mob.
AND can't wait to see how soyboy embarrasses himself at the State Level, who knows...maybe he & Scheller will get to room at rehab together. One for Roids & One for Booze. VOTE BLUE.

  15. Bernie you simply don't know it takes small Chinese humans to opperate the machines American politacos sold to China to make Silberlines patened meterials. Than there is the fact like everything else the kick backs to the politicos for the jobs of running the machinery that historically was operated with child labor on American soil.

  16. In fairness, WFMZ is a weather station and Bo Koldcock is not taken seriously by anyone in his professional or personal life. It's the station where you land when you're too fat or too weird looking to be on a serious station in a serious media market.

  17. Oz, Sheller, and Mastriano each have blocked the media from their events. They must be embarrassed the public would see the antic show they put on. So much for transparency. No thanks.

  18. The biggest problem I see with her banning WFMZ is that it was only a single outlet. As a politician it should be all or none. Segregating and selective choosing on a personal level is fine but not on a public level. You are supposed to represent the entire and not selective demographics. Politicians like to surround themselves with the head bobbing types who kneel before them.

If this were to truly be a private party amongst friends in celebration of the election great otherwise it is BS.

  19. Scheller is a con. She is a 1% who grew up with incredible wealth and privilege and her husband opened the political doors for her. She is not the self-made woman, or the outsider as she presents herself. She has twice as many employees in China as she has in the US. (Look it up). Her support from Trump comes from her contributions to his campaigns. Her philanthropy is minimal for someone in her position. I’m a Republican who will vote for Susan Wild, who has proven herself to work for the Lehigh Valley rather than someone who has already lied to me. I’m not surprised that she shut-out WFMZ, and I’m sure the Morning Call had no reporters to attend.

    1. I'm a republican who has written to Susan many times. I get a standard letter response ignoring my questions and going in a direction I am opposed to as a republican. She only cares about her democratic beliefs and not what we the people ask

  20. In today’s broken news media world, reporters seek out the best ‘gotcha’ response. They do not attend these events for straight reporting of what was stated by anyone. They go there to create controversy and/or push the political agenda of who signs their paycheck. Some will attend to fabricate something negative, or to lob softball questions at someone they don’t want to harm, but pump up, like anything having to do with Allentown’s failed Neighborhood Improvement Zone.

I see no problem ignoring, shutting down, or prohibiting any so-called news agency that uses the opportunity for weaponized messaging. Professional liars are found on BOTH sides of the camera these days.

Yes, I think they picked up several; state and county committee seats.

  22. After the Fossils Last Stand debacle, I'm sure Scheller wants to avoid anyone being "too honest" on a hot mic...

  23. Lynch won a spot on the Northampton County Republican Committee, is that a paying position? What exactly do they do?

  24. Committee members are unpaid. They exist to recruit candidates, help their campaigns and make endorsements.

  25. @8:58 "In today’s broken news media world, reporters seek out the best ‘gotcha’ response. They do not attend these events for straight reporting of what was stated by anyone..."

Yes and No. The media exists to keep government and politicians honest. They do ask difficult questions, often framed with a political bias, because otherwise the candidate and/or office holder would spit out pre baked talking points that often mask or deflect certain realities.

That politicians don't like the media should be a given, much like germs and bacteria don't like sunlight because it doesn't allow them to spread and multiply.

Now we have politicians openly crying and complaining if not outright attacking the media, or worse doing their best to avoid it. THAT is what should be alarming to everyone, even if its a party you support, because if they're afraid of what the media might say about them in the open, what would they be doing behind closed doors to deliberately hide from them?

  26. Maybe it's a good thing. Steve Lynch, or one of his radicalized followers may snap and follow through on those threats. He continues to threaten the elections office and anyone not in unison with his disturbed psyche. Everybody hide.

  27. WAEB recently settled for a reported $5 Million for allowing Bobby Gunther Walsh and The Blog Mentor to lie on the air. Why hasn't he been fired, and how could WAEB and/or his advertisers expect anyone to believe a word out of his mouth?

Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics.
