Voting By Mail? Has Your Mail-in Ballot Been Received?

I dropped off my mail-in ballot (MIB ) on May 4. If  you've voted by mail, and would like to know if elections officials have received your ballot, you can use this online tool to make sure it was received.

If it shows that your ballot was never received, I'd suggest that you go to your precinct and cast a provisional ballot. If any election official tells attempts to deny you a provisional ballot, demand to speak to the elections office. Do not talk to the party hacks who linger at the polls. Demand that your elections judge makes that call for you. Believe me, you'll be able to vote. Your provisional ballot will count if your MIB was never received.

  1. I receive multiple emails telling me the status of my mail in ballot every step of the way. Also, I believe I received an email that I would have to elect to use mail in ballots and would receive that application (few months ago). Then an email saying it was sent to me, and an email saying it was received back. The system works great. I note the GOP has not said we need to repeal Act 77 after their 14 hearings on elections. They know better - mail in voting is here to stay. We invested in all the machinery and staff to make it happen.

  2. The scary thing about MIB is the manner it which it became into law. It was just done. There was no vote no submission to the general public to vote on it. It was just put into place. Talk about an elitist mentality.

  3. MIB was not just "put into place." It was enacted into law by a vote of Pa's GOP-dominated legislature. Act 77's aim was to improve our elections by making them more convenient and more secure. It followed numerous hearings. I know this bc I was tracking the law in the hope it would permit open primaries. It wasn't until Trump started railing about MIBs that they became controversial. He ended up hurting his own party bc numerous Rs refused to take advantage. This depressed their turnout. Now he screams election fraud, and you members of his cult lap it up instead of thinking for yourselves.

  4. Act 77 also states that MIB require proper valid identification as well. Can you honestly say that MIB were followed in this fashion?

  5. Absolutely. It's the same ID procedure used for absentees, and about which you Trump cultists had no complaints for decades.

  6. Then explain how many people who did not request MIB received them.

  7. They did not receive ballots. They received applications for MIBs and would not get one without ID

  8. Well, on a personal account, a ballot was received without being requested. Others had reported the same.
