James Whitney, cat and Shelby Edwards |
I first met Whitney and his partner Shelby Edwards a few years ago, when they experienced several problems with a facade grant for their Hamilton Street property. They did considerable research, enough to rival the investigative reporting at a major newspaper. Their work managed to piss everyone off, including CACLV's Alan Jennings, the CACLV board and Peter Lewnes, their Main Street manager. The research done by Whitney and Edwards, which I chronicled in several stories, exposed more than a bit of self-dealing. They are relentless advocates of good government.
In the story below, you'll see Whitney's inaugural story.
Pissed off Lewnes and Jennings? I'm all in, sounds like another outstanding blog, I can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteBernie,
ReplyDeleteRemember that story and the dollar amounts of benefits some folks received.
Mr. Whitney,
ReplyDeleteHow can city residents contact you via phone?
I’m actually more interested in what their cat has to say
ReplyDeleteBernie,
ReplyDeleteOne day as Pawlowski was hosting another slum landlord event in a "vacant" property, folks inside the building were looking down at the crowd below If your new associate wants another story idea, research what happened to each of those properties.
Welcome aboard, James! I’ll be reading your entries!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to James .Its always great to hear about My Old Home Town
ReplyDeletePawlowski and Jennings mentored many now locals the ins and outs of the real estate biz. Jennings poverty pimp experience has now become a real property venture with Scott Unger on board and also sitting in on zoning issues with some aquired rentable blighted industrial sites.
ReplyDeleteJames and Shelby won't have to dig much for many entertaining stories of Allentowns happenings that could surpass Pawlowski antics of criminality.
Researching Julio Guridy's and Convict Ed "Disgrace" DeGrace's long association could be interesting...

ReplyDeleteCorrection to prior entry:
Message should read: Please ask Mr. Whitney to create a phone number Allentown residents are allowed to use to reach him.
Apologize for having message indicated "your" phone number. Would never ask for your phone number.
Here's an interesting story, ask Julio Guridy why he blocks and bans from his Mayoral page anyone who links to this article: https://lehighvalleyramblings.blogspot.com/2012/05/did-mayor-pawlwoski-launder-8000.html
