Suspected Domestic Terrorist to Run For NorCo Exec

Perhaps it's appropriate that his surname is Lynch because he accompanied a mob that was intent, at least in part, in lynching Vice President Mike Pence in the January 6 capitol insurrection. Steve Lynch refers to himself on Facebook as "[a] Patriot Who Loves, God, Country and Truth! I Am Here To Help WAKE UP AMERICA!" He intends to start by waking up Northampton County. He plans to announce his candidacy for County Executive on Friday at Noon, and is looking for a huge crowd. He attended the unsuccessful coup and has even posted video of himself marching down Pennsylvania Avenue. By his own admission, he has been visited by the FBI. So it's safe to say a suspected domestic terrorist is running to be the big dog in our little pond.

He certainly fits the mold of what party boss Lee Snover wants from Republicans. She was at the failed coup herself. She told WLVR's Brad Klein, "[W]e want a new Republican party. We’re never going back to the old Republican party. Never. We want a new party, a Patriot party. We want the Republican party to come our way or a new party. We don’t want any spineless Republicans. We want only Trump Republicans."

Her wish has been granted.

Lynch, who was the field director of Lisa Scheller's failed Congressional campaign, was the first person spotlighted in a local blog featuring far right extremists. In the days leading up to the insurrection that resulted in former President Trump's impeachment, Lynch linked to a QAnon meme suggesting Trump was preparing to punish his enemies. "They will all die," it boasts. Lynch himself added that he was "praying" that "criminals like Killary and the like receive devastating justice."

Just yesterday, Lynch was stunned to learn that a local black woman is afraid of him. He wonders why. Oh, I don't know. Perhaps it's because he uses the same red, white and blue lion insignia as the white nationalist VDare.

I'm unsure exactly what he brings to county government. I have looked at this voting record all the way back to 2008. He failed to vote in the Executive's race in 2017, 2013 or 2009. He's voted in less than half of the elections since registering in 2008. He's only voted three times in 12 years in a municipal race.

He claims to be a personal trainer, but by his own admission, failed to get past the physical in an application to the Reading police department.

A county executive must be a person who pays close attention to the money. But like a majority of the people arrested in the capitol insurrection, Lynch's tale is one of financial woe. There are currently two open judgments filed against him:

Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC v. Stephen F Lynch, 2018-J-3169, filed 8/23/18, for $1,950.81.

Capital One Bank USA NA v, Stephen F Lynch, 2013-J-6193, filed 6/21/13, for $5,627.83.

He has also faced two foreclosure actions on his Northampton County home. One of them went to execution until he managed to catch up.

I've never seen him at a meeting and doubt he is remotely familiar with the many details of county government, from Gracedale to the Forensic Center to 911.

But he's a "Trump Republican," and that makes him good enough for Lee Snover.

  1. Everyone knew this was the tactic you people would employ. Why is it OK for a Zirinski to not have voted or attended meetings yet you attack Mr. Lynch? I guess she gets a pass but he is a target of the McClure machine.

  8. From the original post:

"By his own admission, he has been visited by the FBI. So it's safe to say a suspected domestic terrorist is running..."

Or, one could say he was visited by the FBI because of unsubstantiated "tips" from democrat political operatives.

Obviously, he hasn't been charged or arrested.

So I would say that in the eyes of the FBI he was in DC to exercise his Constitutional right to assemble and peacefully protest.

  9. I see you're once again linking to a democrat hate blog that engages in doxing political opponents.

This is reprehensible. Maybe when you write your next post wondering why people don't run for office, you can re-read this post.

  10. Maybe the bigger questions are these:

    1. Why are Lamont McClure and his supporters so afraid of discussing McClure's record that they choose to personally attack potential opponents?

    2. Why hasn't McClure denounced this and other hate blogs that specialize in personal smears and doxing? Is it because he's the one behind it and feeding these blogs the information?

  11. "Why is it OK for a Zirinski to not have voted or attended meetings yet you attack Mr. Lynch? I guess she gets a pass but he is a target of the McClure machine."

It is this blog that exposed Zrinski's lack of a voting record, the court-imposed sanction for "perjury" in a custody dispute, and her own misandry. I am very much an equal opportunity offender, and have been highly critical of the Democrats on Council when it is deserved.

  13. 8:43,

    1) McClure has never shied away from discussing his own record. He discusses it at every meeting and will be highlighting that pretty impressive record when he seeks re-election.

    2) McClure is not attacking anyone. Not yet. I am. These are by no means personal attacks. Lynch is running for Exec and people have a right to know about his extremist views. He wants to manage a $340 million budget and people have a right to know how he manages his finances. He wants to hold the top municipal office in the county, so people have a right to know he does not vote in municipal races. I am sure McClure will attack Lynch if he manages to get on the ballot. There are only two ways to run - hard or unopposed.

    3) McClure is not a blog cop and I personally don't give a shit what he does or does not find offensive. He and many others supply this blog with information. In case you haven't noticed, this blog attempts to provide timely information about what is going on in the county. It is in his interest to supply me information, just as the unions and many employees do the same thing.

  14. How can Mr. Lynch claim to be doxed when his cellphone number is right in his announcement and he has shared it on his public Facebook page?

I watched the video and most of it is Mr. Lynch showing people what he is doing. I am sure that those videos were public either on Parler or Facebook. He did this to himself. You want to be famous on social media that is fine, but sometimes you don't get to control the message. Reality is a bitch!

  15. "So I would say that in the eyes of the FBI he was in DC to exercise his Constitutional right to assemble and peacefully protest."

He of course has the right to peacefully protest. But on January 1, he linked to a meme saying people would die and stated himself there would be "devastating justice." That, plus his attendance at the failed coup, warrants a visit from the FBI, and possibly more.

"I see you're once again linking to a democrat hate blog that engages in doxing political opponents."

I disagree with the doxing tactic, but link to it because it raises valid concerns. By the way, I see plenty of doxing by extremists on both sides.

  16. I find it funny all the complaints about attacks and doxing. Mr. Lynch should be happy people are exercising their free speech rights to protest his campaign.

Oh, well I guess that makes it ok then.

Does linking to a democrat hate blog raise valid concerns? I see a video that's obviously doctored to make it appear that he was in the Capitol building. Obviously, the FBI disagrees, or he'd already be arrested. This is phony journalism, but Sen. McCarthy would be proud of the tactic.

Failed coup? I understand that you have to keep up the charade as your democrat masters order, but are we really to believe that in a rally attended by anywhere from hundreds of thousands to over a million, where 99.99% of those attending do nothing wrong, that it was actually a coup attempt? And that an unarmed, shirtless guy in Viking horns was the point man for an actual "coup" effort? Get real.

Also, given that Trump was President then, and would be for the following two weeks, were the perpetrators pulling a coup on their own President?

With politicians none of that happens and it is all off limits. because we idolize idiots and have allowed them to create laws which give them permission and acceptance to do what they do.. My recommendation is that he opens all of it to review and if there is anything pointing to him being fully engaged or partially engaged in the sh*t show that was he be prosecuted at the appropriate level. And actually get punished accordingly - not just sent off to tennis camp. I am talking terrorist punishment where we seize his properties and finances and whisk him away to a place where he is rarely ever heard from again. Otherwise if nothing shows then let him be and go on with his life. But then again all the people who argue the point of good or back have no freakin clue of what he really did good or bad. They just like to sound off and spew their own opinions not knowing nothing more then the spin that they choose to accept as truth.

  25. "Suspected" Domestic Terrorist???

One look at his insane Facebook page makes Fake News Infowars founder Alex Jones seem like a moderate. And, it appears that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. In one video post, his father is dressed in Fascist garb (Mr. Lynch apparently prefers the word Tyranny, as emblazoned on his chest), as he "interprets" the Declaration of Independence, or as he wants to call it, his "A Modern Day Declaration of Independence" (January 31). Mr. Lynch stands in front of a self-made podium with a fake Presidential Seal, and it's not even Halloween! TALK ABOUT INDCOCTRINATION!!! Is it any wonder how these lunatics are born and bred.

That being said, I have a friend from high school, back in the 1980's. He is a small-business owner and a huge trump supporter. I have put up with his contrarian view points for the past four (4) years, as well as those from many family and friends. Trust me, I am in the minority when it comes to political points-of-view and discussions. But my Buddy, much like Steve Lynch, is taking things to a much more conspiracy-theory driven level. Ever since #BYEDON won the election, I get sent almost-daily doctored youtube clips of "evidence" that the election was rigged, that Bill Gates is putting tracking devices in the Covid vaccines, that the Insurrection was faked, and on and on and on.

Again, this is a responsible, business owner. He owns his own home. He owns a few vehicles. He owns multiple guns. He has his own insurance- medical, property, vehicle, personal, etc..., yet, he still insists that on March 4, Trump will reclaim the White House and explain to the people of the United States that we've been under Marshall Law and that the impeachment trial has been a hoax. This intelligent friend of mine for 30+ years already owes me $1000 for several bets that we made based on his conspiracy theories since 11/3/2020. I refuse to collect his money, but he is now upping the ante by betting me double or nothing that his March 4th prediction come true. WTF???

Wake up trump supporters. You've been duped by one of the greatest con men in history. And, personally, I am fed up listening to your nonsense. I have tolerated your tyranny, your absolutism, your autocracy, your oppression and your subjugation enough. Take off your MAGA hats, sit down, shut up and let the responsible people from both sides of the aisle lead the way.

  26. Bernie isn't bashing this guy. We've all read enough of his posts to know that he would equally bash a democrat running for office with such a weak resume. I don't want my county exec to be someone who has no experience dealing with big financial decisions and, yes, I think judgments against him for mismanaging his own finances is relevant. I also don't want someone who has so little professionalism that he continues to refer to "Killary." For crying out loud. She's been out of the picture for over 4 years. Move on already. I also don't want someone as county exec who hasn't voted or attended council meetings. So, other than party affiliation, republicans, can you tell us all why he would be a good candidate? I'll gladly listen and evaluate, but don't come at me with me your anti-democratic hate speech. Tell me about his resume.

  34. This is a prime exhibit of what will happen to the Republican party over the next 2-4 years. Local GOP will put Mr Lynch (or someone with MAGA purity) up for County Executive (and other contested offices). Dems, will mercilessly tar and feather them as a rabid Trump supporter first and foremost, THEN beat the dead horse over their lack of knowledge and understanding of basic government functions in conjunction with their own life's mistakes.

No moderate Republicans or Independents will bother to vote, or if they do will tilt heavily in favor of Dems.

MAGA Republicans will only do well and hold offices is very rural and small town areas. Larger states with City/Metro/Suburban areas will become Republican dead zones. A recipe for perpetual minority status...

  36. Not a big Trump fan here, but just because you attended the capital rally doesn't make you a domestic terrorist. Funny how the same people who are pushing that narrative are the same people defending the indefensible riots that occurred throughout our country over the summer. You have a right to assemble. You do not have a right to burn, loot, assault people, and destroy property, especially our capital.

As far as this clown goes, he's the last thing this county needs.

    ReplyDelete
  37. To 11:59 Spot on answer! 9:31's reasoning falls flat at every angle. They clearly do not even know the slogan that drew people to the rally "stop the steal". It was an attempt to stop the legislature from accepting the electoral votes from certain states because the president at that moment refused to recognize his defeat. As for Mr. Lynch (appropriate name if I ever heard one), yep, Repubs need to keep running jokers like this. Talk about motivating Dems and Indpendents to come out and vote! Repubs won't hold another office.

    ReplyDelete
  38. If you condemn one riot you condemn all riots, be it BLM, ANTIFA or MAGA centric. Destruction of property is never warranted no matter what your views/complaints/protest may be. Not one was justified in any way. Picking and choosing sides, playing what about, making excuses, calling it a false flag, is pure partisan bullshit. Republicans and Trump CORRECTLY called out those protestors this summer.

That said, I can't imagine the restaurant, pharmacy, and small business owners who saw their stores damaged and looted in Minneapolis, Portland, Racine, etc., would just collectively shrug their shoulders, excuse the perpetrators and want to move on quickly from it...

I agree completely. The reason I call Lynch a suspected domestic terrorist is because (1) on Jan 1, he linked to a QAnon meme suggesting Trump was preparing to punish his enemies. "They will all die," it boasts. (2) Lynch himself added that he was "praying" that "criminals like Killary and the like receive devastating justice." (3) Lynch in fact did attend the January 6 failed coup, and interacted with fellow extremists who were tear gassed and hit with flash bombs; and (4) Lynch, by his own admission, was visited by the FBI.

"You should be ashamed to claim Mr. Lynch is a suspected terrorist. Has he been charged with anything? You should be sued."

"

Absolutely. By your own math, 10% of those in attendance breached the capitol. We now know they intended to hand Mike Pence, were after the Speaker and were just 58 steps away from the Senate. They disrupted one of the most solemn obligations of Congress bc it was contrary to what their Dear Leader wanted. It was most definitely and attempted coup, and fortunately, a failed coup.

Violence is always wrong, and I am aware of no serious Democrat who lauded the violence this summer. Having said that, Trump added fuel to the flames by falsely portraying peaceful protests as violent and actually tear gassed peaceful protesters outside the White House.
