Harris Rally Highlights

In case you're wondering, I was front and center at the Kamala Harris rally, close enough to kiss her. I have no credentials, but was able to lie my way in as a member of the press. I even got special parking for my grandson's aunt and myself right next to Bo Koldcock. I claimed she was press, too. How did I do this? I'm Irish.

Now if you want to know what she said, just read some of the summaries of her stump speeches over the past two weeks. I was there for other reasons.

First, there was a great deal of enthusiasm among Biden-Harris supporters. The place was packed, and cars were actually turned away. Most of them stayed in their cars, which is how people like myself were able to get so close.

Second, the Trumpists I saw were honking and hollering at a respectful distance, and made no real attempt to disrupt the event. They were exercising their First Amendment rights. True, one of them was exercising it with a train horn, but you'll have this.

Third, Congressperson Susan Wild was by far the worst speaker. She's short, so much so that the podium made it impossible to see much more than the top of her head. That's certainly no fault of hers, but she droned on forever and ever. One  of the points she made is that it is vital for us all to vote straight Democrat, up and down the ballot. And then, right after her speech, she endorsed a write-in candidate running against the Democratic nominee to a state house seat. Can you say hypocrite?

Fourth, NorCo Exec Lamont McClure was actually the best speaker. He jogged to the podium and energized the crowd. I've grown used to listening to him, but this assessment came from my grandson's aunt. She really liked him, but then again, she likes me.

Fifth, Senator Bob Casey was mercifully brief when he spoke. After he was done he took up a spot a few feet away and he and I were able to talk a few minutes. Talking to him is like talking to an old friend. He is very much down to earth.

Sixth, some lady from Northampton Community College was the final speaker, and she droned on, in Spanish, for several days. Then she decided to translate everything into English.  By this time, several people were carted away with hypothermia.

Seventh, the real assholes of this event were State Rep wannabe Enid Santiago and her crew. She insisted on posing in front of Harris as  Harris spoke. One of her handlers, former Ftn Hill Mayor Jose Rosado, barged in front of others and took pics. Then Jose and her daughter did the same thing along with some dude who refused to put on a mask. They were not there to promote Harris. They were there to promote themselves. They were disrespectful, both to Harris and those who came to see Harris.

Finally, I have to point out that there were cops there from everywhere. Allentown, Bethlehem, Colonial Regional, State Police, Secret Service, NorCo and Lehigh County Sheriffs, along with bomb sniffing dogs. Yet somehow, I got through.

  1. Some funny comments here, like Wild said vote straight democrat and then said vote for a write in candidate running against a democrat.

  2. Deleted several comments, including two attacks at McClure, one hoping that Harris dies and another claiming there was no crowd. There was, and in fact, cars were turned away. That is the difference between Trump and Biden. Biden takes the pandemic seriously. Trump does not.

And yes, Wild said people need to vote straight Democrat, and has advocated voting against the Dem nominee in HB22. She is a hypocrite trying to ingratiate herself with another hypocrite.

  3. God forbid any one attacks your boy McClure!

  4. Stop defending McClure! His good guy image is tarnishing as we speak! He's most likely running for re-election so, he should be fair game like anyone else! Much of his behavior and comments at Council meetings has been self-serving.

Isn't that just another way of saying she's a democrat?

Who will ever tell us this stuff but you?
    Thanks forever.

  8. Wild should know by now after years in politics that she needs to bring a step stool.

So you lied and cheated to get in. lol

I see why you have an affinity for Harris. You and Harris both were there under a false pretense, a deliberate misrepresentation of facts, to obtain a title and position you didn't merit.

After the admitted deception you were busy with yesterday Bernie, I say take it easy, don't work too hard at it today. Good Luck.

  10. You got it , because everyone knows you.
You are the voice of the Lehigh Valley.
    Forget the press.
You tell it like it is.
Also, being Irish and throwing the BS around helped.

  14. No one is attacking your boy McClure. They are just commenting 9n your over the top love for the guy. He gives the same fake emoting speech everywhere. Kamala's speech was major league compared to his bush league.
    Stop lying!

Right? I mean she got where she is today by stepping on Ed Pawlowski

It is not me, but my grandson’s aunt, who said McClure was the best of the introduction speakers.

  17. Susan Wild and Bob Casey spoke at the same event and Wild was the worst speaker. Wow, huge win for Casey.

  18. I'm confused. A few days ago, driving down Macada Road in Bethlehem, among a lot of dark blue background political signs, most for Biden/Harris, there was one sign, I kid you not, dark blue background just like all the other political signs-- it said TRUMP above, and below, it said HARRIS. Does anybody know what the heck that is all about? At the polls today, I could not find any choice available to vote for TRUMP/HARRIS.

  19. @2:14PM I have seen Bernie's comments on McClure, and I have to say that I don't see Bernie fawning over McClure, or that he is "Bernie's boy".

  20. Bernie the broken boomer, your obsession with a certain platinum blonde pro se Trump trooper is sad and indicative of mental illness.

On November 30th I'd stay far away from NorCo courthouse the 3%ers have vowed to secure the gallery no hate bloggers will be allowed. Make sure to tell humpty dumpty the dumpling.

  21. Kamalas has won the presidency of the USA claiming it was all a red mirage in the DC swamp. The creatures will be wondering about blue slim dripping from there mouths as they emerge from the rock whence it's came from beneath.
