Tropical Storm Isaias Keeps NorCo 911 Busy

Executive Lamont McClure told Northampton County Council last night that no one in the County was killed by Tropical Storm Isaias. But it kept 911 dispatchers busy. During a 24-hour period, they fielded a total of 2,844 calls, and 778 of them were emergencies.

At this time last year, 911 was receiving an average of 1,283 calls per day.

  1. One of the dispatchers I know said it was their busiest day since Superstorm Sandy. I don't know how they do it
