Reminder: Covid-19 Testing Site Opens at Easton Hospital Today!

Northampton County is sponsoring a drive-thru testing site for Covid-19 located at the main parking lot at Easton Hospital, 250 21st Street, Easton, PA 18042. It will open today. Hours of operation will be from 10:00AM – 4:00PM on May 6, 7, 8, 11 and 12th or until supplies run out. Only residents from Northampton County will be accepted for testing and they must show at least one of the following CDC recognized symptoms of Covid-19 to be eligible: fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat or loss of taste and/or smell. A prescription from a doctor is not required. Although insurance is not required to be tested participants should bring their insurance card and a photo ID with them.

  1. Let’s be realistic here. If all anyone needs to do to get a test is claim “I have a headache,” many people will get in line who probably do NOT need a test. Test supplies will be needlessly consumed.

Now, will there be an uproar about having to show ID to prove eligibility? We always hear that such demands are either unfair, racist, or put barriers on the disadvantaged.

Don’t forget, your test result is not foolproof. Tests do provide false Positives and Negatives. Then, too, you just might get infected the very next day when you touch a door handle.

    What a mess!

  2. I disagree. Everyone should be tested.

  3. It would be good to know when antibody tests are widely available. Early results suggest a lot more people were infected and either asymptomatic or only mildly ill before recovering. Seems like it would provide a lot of answers and direction re: herd immunity, the availability of convalescent plasma, and getting past the terror our leaders and media have instilled with hysterically inaccurate models and ever changing directives.

  4. Who pays for Lisa Boscola robocall calls about a town hall ,stay on the line. The Governor issues this and its redundantly a waist of tax payer money . Our Governor is getting an “F” report card anyway.Monday. I’m not an expert because I went to NBC school in the U.S.Army years ago. Enough is enough!

  5. I just want to thank Gov. Wolf and Sec. Levine for making some progress in the face of very little help from Trump.
