Bob Donchez to Host "Ask the Mayor" Again

Bethlehem Mayor Bob Donchez and his department heads will be conducting a second "Ask the Mayor" program. I watched his most recent program, and was extremely impressed by everyone involved. If you live in Bethlehem, you may want to tune in to the City's website on Friday at noon, when Hizzoner answers your questions. You can submit questions until noon on Wednesday to askthemayor@bethlehem-pa.gov.

Last time around, the Mayor announced a limited opening of the City's yard waste center. It would never dawn on me to ask about something like that because I leave that sort of thing to my servants. But Donchez said that was the topic on which he received the most inquiries.

  1. Maybe he can tell us exactly how many people have Covid in Bethlehem, real people from the street not nursing home and incarcerated individuals

  2. 6:16 - that’s a very good point! We are going through all of this using ‘Presumed’ numbers. There is no question many are sick and have died, but our politicians and some of the health officials they cite, are making too many assumptions, mostly, I believe, to justify what they believe necessary. Evidence the public sees ‘on the ground’ doesn’t always match-up.

I just watched a video of Dr. Birx admitting some of the numbers are being exaggerated on purpose.

  4. 6:16, The Director of the Health Bureau is very good and I am certain she will have that information. She discussed at the last City Council meeting.

  5. Bernie, that video was found on the website called Citizen Free Press. Third item down. The video shows the White House Seal behind her so I guess it was from one of those press events. You know, those events that some networks refuse to cover, or only show the first hour of two hours.

  7. I have a question. When is the next Mayor getting voted in?

  8. Doesn't matter what question you ask, the answer will be the same. "We'll have to put a committee together, have 10 meetings about it and hopefully by that that you'll forget you asked me a question".

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence.
