NorCo Jail In Lockdown After Two Staffers Contract Covid-19

From Northampton County: As of April 5, 2020, no inmate at the Northampton County Prison (NCP) has tested positive for Covid-19 and there are no tests pending. However, two employees have recently reported positive results.

As a precaution to protect the health of the inmates, the Director of Corrections has locked down the Prison. The lockdown will continue until the threat has passed.

All employees are using Personal Protective Equipment and everyone within the facility has their temperature monitored twice a day. Regular cleaning and disinfection of the facility continues as well as protocols for personal hygiene.

To protect the health of inmates and employees, volunteers, visitors and tours were banned from the prison on March 10th. Inmates may still contact their loved ones via phone, tablets or mail.

(Blogger's Note: I will be updating this story, based on some reports I am still receiving).
