NorCo's IT Department Fails in Yet Another Council Video

Last night, Northampton County Council  conducted its final budget hearing before deciding on next year's spending plan. In what is becoming a common place problem, the video failed. This has happened several ties over the last year. I've been told enhancements to the system would be in place soon. That was about six months ago. This IT provider is simply failing to service the county and its residents.

  1. I agree with your conclusion. The website is horrible as well. It needs to be redesigned.

  2. County Council members need to remember to turn on their microphones when they speak. When you can't hear them, isn't that a violation of the Sunshine Law?

  3. There's no money for any of this. Pals are getting raises and we're building a new forensics palace at a 25% premium to satisfy union donors. Please try to keep up.

  4. There are chronic offenders. Bob WErner is the worst, followed by Zrinski. She gets mad when reminded to turn on her mike too. But these are not Sunshine Act violations.

  5. The IT issues are not a design flaw they have been designed to not work properly. The intention is to keep the public uninformed, try too download a video.

  6. The IT department is terrible. There are numerous complaints throughout the county. The website doe suck. It sucked under Brown and McClure has done nothing to make it more user friendly. I was told the video system would be improved almost a year ago, and you still have to use a windows only program to run it. It is a disgrace.

But I agree with tghe decision, made by a previous IT department that was more on the ball, to prohibit downloads. It is otherwise too easy for unscrupulous people like myself to download bits and pieces and take things put of context.

  8. Is this the same IT staff that recommended the voting machines the county bought? Ha!

  9. Bernie, I like your context statement, cut and splice like the old days or national news clips from the three top horses asses. The local is in on it too, I have allways loved the stormchasers novel commodity trix that it's sub channel has played on the local public.

  10. The IT system is functioning exactly as well as our betters want. IT was bad on a night that trough sloppers hit the jackpot with ridiculous raises? Wow. What a coinkidink! What a disgraceful administration and rubber stamp dildo council. These are the worst of times. And many predicted it.
