Pelosi Pic Sends Many Messages

Donald "the Joker" Trump, who hates criticism and is fairly thin-skinned, has tweeted the picture of Speaker Nancy Pelosi above in an attempt to disparage her. She has made it her Twitter cover photo. The Washington Post has some interesting observations. It shows someone standing up to power. It also shows a woman unafraid to assert herself in a room full of men.
“Can a woman beat Donald Trump? Yes,” Democratic presidential contender Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) wrote on Twitter. “@SpeakerPelosi does it every day.”

  2. It also shows the continued decline of civilized society that we need to stand and yell at each other instead of working out our differences for the betterment of our nation.

And before all you asshats start up, I'm not defending Trump - I'm holding him accountable for his actions as well as Democrats. It is depressing that I look at our fearless leaders in Washington, R and D, and think to myself that this is the best we have?

    Wow.....

  3. Her message is; she is a disrespectful grand stander who can't sit at the table and make a coherent argument. Instead she looks for the photo op and runs to the camera with little chunky schumer.

  4. His message is; I will disrespect your branch of government and call you names. You are a woman and I don't know how to have a civil dialogue with anyone who disagrees with me.

  5. With a few exceptions, the politicos we have are generally good and decent people who could get more done from the sensible middle if they weren't from gerrymandered districts where their biggest fear is a primary challenger. Address that issue and we'll have more collaborative governance.

As far as this meeting is concerned, if it's true that Trump called Pelosi a "third-rate politician" then good on her for walking out. What was she supposed to do, sit there and smile and take it? Anyone who weaves personal insults into policy discussions doesn't merit a meeting.

  6. It's truly amazing that anyone sits back and thinks that these politicians are "Heroes" and "inspiring". They won a popularity contest. They sit back on their thrones making well over 6 figure salaries with phenomenal benefits and a retirement to boot. They have people wait on them hand and foot and slobber at the chance to get 5 minutes with them. Regardless of political affiliation most go in not even close to being a millionaire yet most always seem to come out as one? So save me your Nancy Pelosi is some hero......she's not, she like anyone else in the political spectrum.... she loves power......power over the people because remember they are a politician which makes them inherently smarter than you. Their job requires ZERO qualifications.

  7. Where is Ellen when we need her?

Try any inversion of the narrative you want...we can see the whole problem standing there.

There's and election coming, how about giving our best candidates the stage instead of Trump.

  8. As soon as Pelosi and the other two stormed out . . . . The meeting went on with productive dialogue between both Democrats and Republicans, as reported by those who actually attended. Trump was present through the balance of the discussion. Pelosi has called Trump many negative things over time. She is now managing a prolonged investigation of Trump and his family unlike anything ever seen before.

Trump has good reason to be upset with Nancy’s lack of cooperation and public attacks. Everyone tends to forget, Trump fights back hard. Always has and always will. If you can’t take a verbal conflict face-to-face, don’t get yourself involved in one. This is a new kind of politics for Democrats to deal with. Republicans are generally weak and roll-over easily. But, not THIS guy! Everyone knew this coming in.

  13. Scream at Trump, call him down, etc. You WILL get a stern reply ! Only a moron would expect otherwise by now.

  14. By the way once Pelosi left the meeting it became very production once you got rid of her. all she wants to do is impeach trump in private very democratic--no Bernie Pelosi is the joker.

  15. So Pelosi and Schumer lie to the press last night saying that it was Trump that was having a meltdown. And that's the story the liberal press runs with.

The next day the White House offers photographic proof that it wasn't Trump, but Pelosi that was melting down.

So the liberal press changes the story and spins it as "someone standing up to power". How shocking.

  16. The Washington Post should not be quoted, it's time to take it off the breathing machine.

The news today could be how "The Squad" put sex, race, religion, identity politics, aside and endorsed an old Jewish man for President, but that doesn't fit the narrative about young democrats.

Nice to see Trump, The Post, Pelosi and Schumer working together.

  19. Trump was wrong about only one thing : Nancy Pelosi is a fourth grade politician.

BTW...Pelosi's son Paul is also involved in the Ukraine/China mess. That's why she's so vociferous about Trump.

  20. I think we're getting closer everyday to Lewis Black description of Trump crawling around on the White House lawn naked eating grass shouting "Look at me! I'm a lawn mower!" Of course the loyal followers of the Stable Genius God-King would spin it as how Cadet Bone Spurs is saving the tax payers money by doing the landscaping and also what a great example he is of eating healthier.

  21. Pelosi is the worse speaker of all TIMES her house has done nothing for the country look at the picture Bernie one message--I Pelosi is an asshole politician who hates America

  22. Is Pelosi senile?

She pulled the exact same stunt about a month ago, storming out of a White House meeting and holding a press conference (almost word for word: "I'm praying for the President's health...").

Maybe it didn't get the air play she wanted last time, but does she think her supporters are idiots and will act like this is something other than a political stunt?

Oh wait, I just re-read this post. Her supporters ARE idiots. It explains a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  23. She's a radical pro-abortion demon who wants to confiscate guns and raise taxes. This needn't be a long discussion. Trump = bad. Pelosi = worse. Now, back to your regularly scheduled tribal warfare.

  24. ”So Pelosi and Schumer lie to the press last night saying that it was Trump that was having a meltdown. And that's the story the liberal press runs with.”

At no time did I accuse the Joker or Pelosi of a meltdown. I have also read numerous accounts, including WashPo, in which each side accuses the other. Learn how to read.

The point of my post is to draw attention to an interesting picture sending numerous messages that never crossed Trump’s mind.

Pelosi is no radical, not by a long shot. Partisan? Yes. But no extremist. She has deftly handled Trump.

As long as the grass gets cut he's a lawn mower.

Wrong, her supporters are very smart and very, very wealthy.

  29. What I see in that picture is Nancy's the only one who is not an old white man. The military members sitting alongside Trump look embarrassed to be there when Trump went off on Mattis and Nancy. Notice too he is the only one without briefing papers in front of him.

If Republicans have any commonsense they will get on the impeachment train as soon as possible so Pence can take over and win them the White House in 2020. OR they can stick with this clown and make excuses for all his nutty behavior.

  30. Our deeply ingrained political elite resent a non-politician moving on to their playground. Congress has ridden roughshod over taxpayers for decades. Secret pay-offs, insider trading, directing big contracts to family members. Some even commit crimes while everyone else there looks the other way.

Enter the outsider. Donald Trump. Powerful, plainspoken, in command. Secure enough to tell anyone to "take a hike."

The once powerful who easily got their way are being challenged and exposed. They hate it! He thrives on it. Millions of Americans smile and say "about time!"

Good luck trying to beat him fairly.

  31. 3:19 - I'll take that kind of nutty behavior any day over the spoiled brats in Congress. Both parties in Congress are full of sneaky rats and underachievers.

Well you can say one think about Trump. He ain't "sneaky". He outright gives everyone the finger.

  33. All politicos are uncivilized today. Stop attacking the president. I am sure that McClure and the county council act the same way. Can you say that County Council is run in a more civilized fashion? They all yell and scream at each other and call names. It is the way things are done. Tell it like it is.

And do quick search of the internet and you'll find numerous photos of Obama at meetings without any briefing papers as well. Search a little harder and you might find photos of Obama giving his own quick comments - with a tele-prompter telling him what to say.

Who was typing the words Obama was regurgitating? Was it Putin?

I am probably Council’s harshest critic. This is absolutely untrue. With the exception of Zrinski, they are a collegial bunch. You can see the meetings online and what you describe never happens.

  38. Trump has done more in 3 years than any president except FDR, The difference is Trump had no help at all from the do nothing dems. trump 2020 or vote for the dems --more taxes will only start the march toward the life of the inner cities which were caused by democratic rule.

  39. Another Trump lie. "No quid pro quo."
Mulvaney just sunk Trump's legal team.
You gotta love the ineptitude of Trump and those he chooses to represent him.

  40. Not quite. As chief law enforcer in America, Trump is obligated to continue the investigation of election meddling in our 2016 election. Ukraine is well known to have participated in a major way. That entire story has not been resolved, has it?

In addition, some of the Ukraine officials had already made notice they were suspicious of Joe Biden's involvement there as VP. They requested the new WH provide what it could to them. Read the actual conversation. In it, the new Ukraine President implies they already knew about that matter.

Learning more about any role Joe Biden might have had leading up to the 2016 election is not only relevant, but an appropriate inquiry of an ongoing investigation.

  45. Kim Strassel’s interpretation of today’s political climate is very intelligently presented. Well worth a look for every mature observer of the place our nation finds itself. But, if you are one who quickly runs to name-calling and denial, don’t bother.

  46. I am going to offer something I believe to be extremely helpful to everyone who is following along with current national politics. Your political party preference should not matter.

My previous post named Kim Strassel from the Wall Street Journal Editorial Board. She finished a one-one interview just now that I'm sure can be found on YouTube. A must view.

A soft-spoken, calm and courteous examination of our, too partisan, political divide. No shouting, no name-calling, very respectful thoughts from someone who stated in a prior interview she doesn't particularly like Donald Trump, but she cautions each of us to better understand what we are doing and saying.

One should pause whatever rage lingers inside and experience this brilliant discussion with Ms. Strassel. You will not be disappointed. We can ALL benefit.

Bernie, I request your indulgence in hosting my message here. There is great wisdom and understanding to be had. The interview lasts 45 minutes. At the very least, take just a sample.

    Thank you.
