Guardian: Will Trump Win NorCo in 2020?

The Guardian, a British newspaper, has its eyes on Northampton County. In a recent story, it asks whether a County that voted twice for Obama and then flipped for Trump, will repeat its error. The story points out that, in 2016, many of those who voted Trump did so because of an avid dislike of Hillary. She's no longer part of the equation. But NorCo GOP boss Lee Snover thinks Trump will win "every issue the Democrats are running on and putting in the forefront is nonsense.”
Snover named the Green New Deal, the campaign for abortion rights, Medicare for All, free college tuition and the impeachment of Trump.

“I’m hoping that the Democrats overplay all these things,” said Snover. “They’re not real issues that hard-working Americans base their vote on.”
Is she really wanted to stop the nonsense, she'd take Trump's iPhone away.

  1. Here's the miscalculation. Hillary Clinton IS still part of the equation. She, and the rest of the Obama administration left a trail of abuse and lawlessness that is about to burst open. Indictments are coming, but it will be from bad actors that surrounded Obama and Clinton.

Internet access, for all its faults, has provided a means for smaller, independent reporting of news for those who seek it. This group has made available all the documents and in-depth analysis required to accurately portray the past decade. A dark, revolting abuse of political power and privilege.

Many citizens are awakening. Hopefully, most will decide to reject the current Democrat regime. If not, democracy is dead in America.

  5. Americans will get a clear choice, they will have had over 3 years to see what policies Trump has pushed, they also will see a clear picture of were the Democrats want to go, It will again be a very important election. Do they want to work to restore the country, or do they want to go down the false promise of socialism. Maybe Americans deserve to make that choice and suffer the consequences.

  6. So we have baby killing on a massive scale, breached borders, and an attempt by treasonous leftists in the government to overturn a Presidential election, but what bothers sufferers of Trump Derangement Syndrome the most is that the President writes short messages to citizens who choose to read them.

  7. There is hard evidence the Obama administration and his corrupt intelligence agencies knew from the beginning the Trump/Russia collusion claim was false. The Mueller investigation was a ruse from the start. The whole dirty episode is coming apart. What we are seeing now are Democrats and complicit Republicans in Congress attempting to run out the clock to avoid discovery. Will it work?

  9. Roaring economy and all-time record low unemployment are just two of the many, many, many reasons why Donaldus Magnus will again in 2020.

The whole world knows full well that the Democrat Party is all about Punitive Taxes, Open Borders, Sanctuary Cities, Killing Babies and Manufactured Garbage such as the $ 40 million dollar Russian Collusion Hoax as well as the Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh phony gang rape 'scandal'.

Democrats have nothing but anger and hate, as indicated by entirely too predictable "morning trumpster kool-aid" crapola.

  10. Many forgot to mention there false sense of even playing feilds for all Americans. The Monopoly of construction and strongarm strong hold on real estate through various venues of government aid as well as criminal activities. Than there is the false economists using faked calculations that positive progress is taking place, when all one must do is open there eye to urban blight and decay that is a design. The usual criminal suspects are left and right players and there criminal cohorts that claim separation for the faked studies keeping the gold for consortiums dispersion!

  13. Look at what my president has accomplished in such a short time amazes me. Look at his most recent trip to England and how he has delt with mexico. Trump knows how to deal with really tough issues and he always ends up winning. It’s been a while since I saw his orange face, I think he has to have another Moses moment. He is the anointed one after all it will be the biggest landslide in a presidential race ever. Bernie- harden not your heart.

  14. Functional retards walk among us. They watch FOX News, think Trump is the second coming of Jesus and throw around words like "Socialism" without knowing the definition because talking anuses like Hannity and Ingram use them. They get their news from niche conspiracy sites and believe it to be true because its on the internet. Most are angry elderly losers who want to bitch and moan about their lot in life. They think there is a "silent majority" of citizens who will be voting for Trump in 2020 because they don't interact with anyone outside of their own closed circle of friends.

The economy is great, but Trump has been historically unpopular almost straight out of the gate. Trump Derangement Syndrome is a legitimate issue with hard core liberals and Dems. That however doesn't change the fact that Trump polls poorly with both Dem & Rep moderates, independents, under 30 ages, women and college educated suburban voters. He's going to get smeared in the popular vote in 2020, and the electoral vote will not break his way in PA, MI, WI, or NC. At that point buckle in for Deranged Trump Voter Syndrome.

People who are atheists but believe in heaven provided by the state are fools, and when their dreams are implemented they end up with hell. Which is what they deserve. There should not be any aid given to the people of Venezuela, they got what they voted for.

The massive levels of hypocrisy on display by both sides is just draw dropping. Unfortunately the extremists on both sides are pushing further and further way from the center which is stupid.

The same people who are crying that Trump isn't getting a fair shake and could do miracles if congress would get out of the way are the same ones who spent 8 years bemoaning how horrible Obama was. While the Obama cheerleaders did the same thing when their guy was in the White House.

  20. The lack of information displayed in most of these comments is disturbing. Please do some research and stop parroting the propaganda that fox spews. Trump has done nothing for hard-working Americans, well except those that are the billionaires and corporate elite. He has made our country a laughing stock on the world stage. He's cozied up with dictators and weakened our greatest alliances. He lies constantly. He tweets as if he's a pre-pubescent bully. His lack of knowledge of even the most basic facts about how our government and laws work is astounding. He's a disgusting human being who believes his base is too stupid to realize that he's screwed them over time and time again.

I'll vote blue no matter who, but Warren has really solid plans to make this country actually work for average Americans and she has a plan to pay for it. Her 2% wealth tax makes sense and this country would be so much better for it.

  22. After watching the dysfunction and paralysis emanating from the democratic side of this country for the last two and a half years, it should be realized that the Trump Train is unstoppable and the future of citizens, not the deep state or wealthy leftists, will be in control of the Great American nation for at least the next decade or so. Democrats may still be alive, by the socialist wing is going to be snuffed out in 2020.

Trump should be a very easy target, but not if Ds are too far left. Right now, all 25 Ds are markedly left of Hillary. Good luck with that. They're going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory - again.

  25. 2:40 I think (and hope) you're wrong about that. I think Trump and the current state of our country has pushed more people on the left to pay attention and engage, especially younger people and people of color. I also think more Trump votes are coming to the realization that he's a disaster. As more details come to light I expect that even Republicans will begin to get on board with opening an impeachment inquiry.

  33. I almost was your first comment yesterday, but suspected it would devolve into comments back and forth, with neither side listening to each other. So, I waited a day, and just keep it to the most basic point of the article, which I read on Sunday: I used to vote straight Republican, but by Obama I voted for him twice (though I liked Romney, I did not like how the GOP in Congress had become). I voted for Kasich in the primary, but having Clinton fatigue I voted for Trump in the General, incorrectly thinking Congress would temper his excesses. By the following summer I came to accept he was/is terrible for both the nation and the office and will not vote for him again. Snover is right, could Dem's overplay their hand? Sure, but, Trump has changed what used to be conventional thinking on such things. If there are others like me, and those highlighted in the article, then Trump should be assumed to be in a weaker position in Northampton County and PA than he was four years ago. Kool-aid drinkers and the fringe will vote right or left, as they always do. However, there are enough sane centrists silently out there who really have grown to dislike Trump and what the Republican party has become.

If the richest country in the world can't take care of the basic necessities of human dignity, I'm not sure who can. Oh year, the democratic socialist countries in Western Europe.

These 2 are destroying our democracy. These are 2 of the most corrupt leaders America has ever had. They don't put America first. Their top priority is stacking their own money at the expense of hard-working American citizens. There are plenty of examples...please do some research!

  40. Corporate Elites were the only ones that got a tax increase with the Trump Tax Bill. Their state & local tax deductions were capped at $10,000 & that was painful for them despite the tax bracket reductions. Blue collar working people got reductions in taxes while executives taxes increased. Trump is for the working man & helping with tariffs to protect American jobs.

  41. Patriot2, that isn't true according to Bloomberg, Forbes, or common sense. "Corporate Elites" are making more money, regular people are making about the same, and the government cut its own revenues by over a trillion $, which is less money to spend on the services that benefit the middle class.

In the interest of clarity, I offer you the following.

Trump believes (as I do) in the critical importance of individual nation-states and their sovereignty. He also supports citizen decision-making (democracy). He is trying to save our nation from Globalism.

Globalism (as seen in the European Union) replaces citizen decision-making and replaces it with rule by unelected bureaucrats representing each nation of the combine. That's NOT freedom! Look at the mess globalism has created in Europe. Best example is Great Britain. There citizens voted to remain as Britons and determine their OWN destiny. They don't want to need the approval of France, Germany, etc. to manage their affairs as they see fit.

The "exit vote" of British citizens is being IGNORED by the British government and rejected by other European members! How un-American. At least, for now in the USA.

American voters should not want any part of a similar globalism construct here. Or worse, Socialism and Communism.

This is all too complex for half-hour network television. You must reject American corporate media and study independently. If you do, you will eventually agree, our present Democrat Party is not worthy of votes in the upcoming national elections.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Please. Trump has no clue what "the critical importance of individual nation-states and their sovereignty" means.

You didn't explain Trump's desire to break up NATO and do other tasks for Vladimir Putin OR how he holds Kim Jong Un in higher regard than a former VP of this country. Trump has disdain for most of the citizens of this country. When he says "MAGA" he says it for the 35% of Americans still cowed by his ignorant statements designed to "own the libs".

Stop rationalizing this incompetent anti-intellectual maniac.

    ReplyDelete
  46. A little more, 9:27 -

As to Russia, NK, etc. Trump is trying to maintain a working relationship with our foes and avoid actual military conflict. If such conflict comes, it won't be for lack of trying to avoid it.

Both Russia and NK have vast natural resources to tap. Both are capable of becoming huge trading partners with us. Some of the NK strategy is to separate them from China, by the way.

Trump is providing a level of leadership to protect and strengthen America not seen in decades.

    ReplyDelete
  47. 3:40 - you would make a much better impression without all the name-calling, but I do thank you for reading.

Many NATO nations are not paying their share of the expenses of NATO as they agreed. They signed on to pay 2%of AGI, and only a handful are meeting their obligation. Even though we help to protect their nations in time of conflict, we are being stiffed. NATO needs America more than we need it. We can build strong alliances outside of a NATO structure if necessary.

  48. Correction - should have typed GDP (Gross Domestic Product) in the 2% reference above. Can't edit once posted.

You are most likely put off by the unusual way Trump remarks. Part of the strategy of an experienced negotiator is to keep the person across the table unsure of what you might do/say next. He knows exactly what he's doing.

When he is verbally attacked, he punches back even harder. We see that all the time. Difficult for Democrats to deal with. It's new for them.

  49. My problem with Trump has nothing to do with his unpredictability or his attacks. my problem is that he is venal, divisive and mean spirited.and now he bores me. It’s time for an adult.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Describing Trump as venal surprises me. You might have meant vile! Venality is the specialty of our Members of Congress. It's why many there want Trump gone . . . he's getting in the way. Disliking Trump's personality is not a problem. I'm more interested in RESULTS. Trump is excellent there.

I just don't see any Democrat candidate for President that has the skill set Trump can bring to difficult situations. Can Trump win Northampton County? I certainly hope so.
