  1. i read both the express times and morning call every day. the express has more dear abby and dear ann articles then local news. However, they do have more local sports then the Philadelphia moring call sports section. The call reports little of Northampton County. Both have become rags as the ownership of all local newspapers are being taken over by hedge funds or the largest newspaper corporations. The print the same stores in all their newspapers. The loss of local reporting is causing more reliance on local newscasts. It appears that the morning call has a liberal bias. The express time meanwhile is as I stated above more dear abby and dear ann.

  4. Mrs. Hummel is one of the best public servants any community could ever have. She is Portland's Borough's Secretary. She is caring of the residents, honest and is truly a dedicated servant to the community, Congrats Carol! Tiny town would not be the same without you!

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
