Can You Say Judge Morganelli?

It looks like Northampton County DA John Morganelli is going to be a judge. He has cross-filed on both Democratic (1,200 signatures) and Republican (850) sides of the ballot, and his petitions have been approved by the Department of State. Even more importantly, no one else has filed. So he is running unopposed to fill the vacancy created by Judge Emil Giordano's decision o step down from the bench.

As many of you know,I consider Morganelli a friend. He told me I will never have to call him judge.

"Your Honor will suffice," he said.

In  The D-Day Bank Massacre, this is what Morganelli had to say about judges:
"If anyone tries to tell you that judges are apolitical, tell them to call me. In my 26 years as a practicing lawyer, I have learned that judges are probably the most political animals in the political and legal jungle. Not all of them, of course. But many come to their positions with the same prejudices and bias that we all have from our life experience. The donning of the black robe allows them to hide behind the law while forming their own ideas of how things should be."
That's something he should remember when he ascends to the judicial heavens and sits on the clouds with eight other jurists.

Having said that, I believe John will be an excellent judge. The absence of an opponent tells me most people agree.

  1. I have and will vote for him. Lets be real, without boatloads of cash, no one could beat JM in Northampton County. I am much more concerned with an inexperienced lawyer becoming the District Attorney.

  4. The valley's leading purveyor of unjust property seizure. Hopefully, this means I don't get those flyers bragging about property seized from families because one member did something stupid.

  6. I'll miss his hourly press conferences. He's big on speech rights and bad on property rights. He's a mixed bag who's heading off to work for the county's part time judiciary. It's good work if you can get it.

  13. Let's not get too excited before a full examination of his high school, college, and law school yearbooks. There could be a Stymie or Buckwheat Halloween costume in his closet. Let's take this in small steps. Bernie, please investigate the old girlfriends, too. Did he leave enough room for the Holy Spirit at those hormone-charged hops? It's important.

  14. In your face, Moraganelli.

Democrats simply can't be trusted and you know it. Which is exactly why you supported Trump. Because you, of all people, should know all about Democrats.

You made your bed a long, long, long time ago. And your nothing more than naked opportunist 'support' for President Trump, the guy who took on and defeated crooked & corrupt Hillary Rodham Clinton in spite of all the hit pieces that O'Hare dutifully cranked out, can and will not change that.

    In your face, Morganelli.

It appears as if your Democrat constituency has a few words for you. I'd love to tell you that I am so sorry to read such disparaging remarks from your fellow Democrats. But I'm just not. Suck it up, cupcake.

Moderate this, moderate that. Yeah, whatever. It's the Year Of The Woman, anyway, so, if you find yourself out of luck this upcoming election season (as usual?) then, hey, that will just be too bad. Better talk to your radical, unhinged, lunatic Democrat friends whom you've been registering with all these years now.

  15. John has been in the wrong party all along. But, his replacement is a BIG concern. An LVTP petty, vindictive, little tyrant becoming DA in NORCO should be a HUGE concern.

  17. Buckwheat! Hell my wife’s yearbook from 1978 Easton Area High School has 3 “ Klandsmen “ in photo and the yearbook committee had to approve it. And had Al Jones a great man , and nice guy , as principal then . My wife loved him as many did . What we do or don’t do today has changed . We can’t make suggestions about a lot of issues today ,that’s the way it is.

  18. I would like to know more about those public records Anon 830 referenced last night. I am confused to why that post was removed. Sounds like there is some legitimate questions about Zrinski and Morganelli. Tell me more.
