Allentown City Councilman's Car Gets Booted.
I opposed Courtney Robinson when he ran for Allentown City Council. His landlord sued him twice, in 2012 and 2014, for nonpayment of rent. He's the last person I'd want to review a $105 million budget. He also pleaded guilty in 2013 to parking a junker on someone's private property, so I doubt he'd be very sensitive to quality of life issues in an urban environment. He's also not his own man, but is lobbyist Jenn Mann's little gopher.
You elected him, and he repaid you by refusing to sign a letter of appreciation to federal authorities for their work in fighting corruption within Allentown.
Above, you can see his most notable achievement thus far as a member of City Council. He managed to get his Jeep booted for vehicle violations.

I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. Too bad we can't boot the scofflaw out of office until he runs again. Or can be be impeached?
ReplyDeleteCourtney’s not half the man Jen Mann is,
ReplyDeleteProbably for unpaid parking or sweeper tickets. You do know the City likes to entrap unsuspecting patrons by performing sweeper runs during the lunch hour. They could do a more effective job sweeping if they would do their dirty work before 7am. Hey...must be the MOOoney.
ReplyDeleteA typical fed-Ed supporter. This piece of trash shows what fed-Ed's constituency consisted of: No good lackies who think he is still the second coming. He has to be eradicated from public office and shown the door. But the uneducated people of Allentown will vote him back in.
ReplyDeleteHe was asked during the courtesy of the floor part of the last city Council meeting by a resident if he paid his parking tickets yet and his answer was yes. Obviously he lied.
ReplyDeleteAllentown's parking authority is much quicker to boot cars than most other parking authorities. They have many more boots than Bethlehem, for that reason.
ReplyDeleteIt apparently does not take much. A warrant for one unpaid ticket is enough. City Council might want to relax that a bit.
ReplyDelete"Relax that a bit". Why do we bother making laws and enforcing them? "Broken Windows". Anyone wonder why same people causing the problems all the time? Slap on the wrist or "RELAX THAT A BIT". GO back, Jack, Do it again.
ReplyDeleteThe ringmaster may change but the circus remains the same .
