Early AM Turnout Unusually Low

The early going indicates it’s going to be a long, slow day. Campaign workers in Bethlehem, Whitehall, Palmer, Lower Nazareth and Easton have all reported that turnout is very low. Lower than even municipal races. Does this mean the blue wave has subsided? Are voters just getting a late start? Stay tuned.

  1. The blue wave is beginning to look like a bust. Trump must be winning them over with his good policies.

  3. Nobody cares about primaries. They should. But they don’t.

  4. Was at my place in Salisbury W1 around 745 and it was me and one other person.

  5. Is it really ethical to have a guy who shilled so hard for MAGAnelli to be manning the polls? Word on the street is a certain man with olive complexion, jet black hair, chiseled abs and a penchant for pulling younger babes has been helping the Wild campaign in order to defeat the man who was behind a 2 year political imprisonment.

  6. I suspect more and more people are turning their back on BOTH Democrats and Republicans. This Congress we have in place will go down as one of the worst ever. I read someplace about the huge growth in registration as Independents and other non-Primary eligible categories rise.

Let's be honest, right now Democrats mostly vote as a block against anything that might represent improvement in a Trump-led nation. The career Republicans are VERY weak and probably don't want to lead. Two jerks serve as leaders in both Houses. The rest just want to remain in office. Outside world be damned

A growing number of citizens reject all of this political nonsense and maybe gave on voting altogether

  7. 10:58, the man to whom you refer has a letter published in The Morning Call, endorsing Morganelli.

  8. Blue Wave is a mantra for partisan dummies.

  9. Millennials don't wake up until noon. Then they have to check Snapchat, send a pic of their overpriced latte. Then take a nap, borrow money from their parents for gas, then maybe to the poll.

So we'll see how the rest of the day goes.

  10. I ran errands today and waited in line at all 5 locations, but the 6th stop, my voting location in Allentown, there as no line and I was all alone ("Sad"). I voted for Morganelli.

  11. Not to go all Zen here but sometimes the loudest voice is the one that doesn't speak.

Meaning-- It's too simple to say it's all a matter of voter apathy. There's a larger message being delivered.

  12. Bethlehem Township Ward 3 I was number 145 at 2PM.... maybe it's the heat that's scaring the young crowd away.... :)

  13. In my town, voting is good for an off-year primary. Just below what they have gotten all day in the past when I voted at 12 noon.

I appreciate your viewpoints Bernie, and per your suggestion since I can' bring myself to vote for Ms. Wild or Mr. Morganelli, I voted for Mr. Edwards. I don't like or trust either of what may be the front runners. On the other hand, Edwards is sincere and intelligent, and doesn't have the baggage of Wild or undesirable positions of Morganelli. It's a crap shoot like usual, and I refuse to vote for one of the worst candidates.

  14. I can respect a vote for Edwards.

  15. Edwards is a legend in his (and his followers) mind.
The greatest thing since sliced bread.
Decades of leadership and all the sincerity of a marque idol.
    It’s all about him.
    Showhorse, not workhorse.

  16. Edwards just sent John to Washington.

  17. Strong third place showing by Edwards..Morganelli now a three time loser.

  18. Edwards can run for Allentown City Council now.

  19. Bernie's nemesis bitch slapped Little John. Assures the R's will win in November. Wild will try to move center, but in doing so will alienate her left-wing, socialist base. Nowhere to hide. Point, set, match.
