Bucky Szulborski Seeks NorCo Controller Job
Szulborski has an extensive record of community service to various organizations, including Camelot for Children, the Catholic Youth Organization, the Sun Inn Preservation Association, the Bethlehem Recreation Commission, the Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission and the Bethlehem Area Public Library Board.
He is a Democrat.
In addition to Szulborski, two other individuals have applied for this appointment. One of them is former NorCo Council member Hayden Phillips, a Republican. Though Phillips is certainly knowledgeable about finance and is a man of integrity, he's a Republican seeking a position that was held by a Democrat.
I'm told Phillips does intend to run for the office in two years.
There is also a third candidate, but because I messed upon the spelling of his name, I'll postpone telling you about him until later.
Szulborski was succeeded on Bethlehem City Council by Mayor Bob Donchez.
So what this means is that, in 20141, Bob will be Northampton County Controller.

Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. What's the story about this guy in Bethlehem?
ReplyDeleteI think I told you the story.
ReplyDeletePeter Melan for (fill in the blank foe his latest venture.)
ReplyDeleteHe has a history in the Bethlehem area.
ReplyDeleteS why didn't Ron Angle apply?
ReplyDeleteRon is no fool and knows that a 6-3 Dem board is going to appoint a D to a vacancy created by the resignation of a D who was elected.
ReplyDeleteThat's a shame, because Ron's the one who'd watch over our tax dollars like a hawk.
DeleteWhat are this mans qualifications? Start with his college degree background?
ReplyDeleteHe is a county resident. That is the only qualification needed.
ReplyDeleteWorked closely with Bucky on the Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Organization. He's a man of integrity and will do his community proud! You got this Buckster!
