Happy National Popcorn Day!

Is this "4baggerplus?"
One of my more astute readers has alerted me that today is National Popcorn Day! We could celebrate at the NorCo courthouse with Amy Trapp's $800 popcorn machine, but alas, it's been sold. According to Public Surplus, there were 22 bids for the county popper, which was finally awarded to "4baggerplus!" on January 16 for $560.

For some reason, Executive Lamont McClure failed to inform Council about this dramatic event at last night's Council meeting. Thank God for bloggers!

I understand that McClure has also issued an Executive Order declaring former HR Director Amy Trapp an Honorary Northampton County Kernel.

No. That's Jules Winnfield his image has been used to give a face to "the tyranny of evil men".

You can be sure that when it comes to government waste and abuse, and those who profit from it, except for the suit and tie, they look nothing like Jules.

From here on out, the Northampton county pork should be referred to as popcorn.

  2. BOK, thinks life will be butter at the County now that the popcorn machine has been sold. Time will tell. However, these posts about popcorn are sure corny.

  3. The popcorn machine is a metaphor for irresponsible spending like the human services monument. It should be placed under glass in the lobby and named after Glennnn Reibmannn, who’s bills we're still paying. No wonder he can’t find a government job. Oh wait .....

  4. Bernie, would that kernel be a piece that is the make-up of Mr. hidey hoes eyes or things to be flushed and not examine by the naked eye before flushing?

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
