NorCo Jail Supervisor Suspended

David Collins, a captain at Northampton County jail who also serves as the Prison Rape Elimination Act Compliance Officer,  has been suspended. He was walked out of the jail recently. The circumstances of his departure are unclear, but I will be filing a Right-to-Know request. He has declined to return calls, so I am unable to tell you why he was walked out.

  1. Congratulations to him for standing up to Keen and Trapp!

  2. Mrs trapp and Mr.keen are trying to keep Mr Collins quiet as a result a complaint filed by Mr collins, who is accusing keen of wrong doing. Someone should look into this matter other than trapp and yes people and you kidding. ,by the way Lts are next

  3. I wonder if they will be making popcorn for their 3 way?

  4. Might this have anything to do with the rumor of the Deputy Sheriff that refused the prison's unfilled investigator position because Keen's orders were to specifically target officers and staff?

  6. Knowing the Capt since he started at the Prison I can truly say that he is a man of Integrity,a Man of honor and a man that will speak the truth when he feels there is the need. .I am appalled by this action by whomever did this to him...After what I had seen in the 8 years of employment at said Prison there is more than meets the eye...Political agendas and setups are part for the course at that place...You can be assured that the Officers who have that agenda can pull your card at anytime....the fact has always been that you can get setup by anyone. .it's a chess game ...piss of the right person and loose your job...race , color doesn't matter at that hell hole but if you stand up for yourself your racist...good luck DC...

  7. I remember a time when everyone wanted Buskirk gone. You were warned THEN to be careful what you wished for. How's that working out?

  8. No matter what you do in that place you are a pawn...Kostura,Buskirk,Pansnitchicin,or Corruputvallero, it's all a game.God forbid any officers cross the line to piss off LaFamilia or someone of a different ethnicity whether you were cool with them or not was hung out to dry on just a word to that fake Internal Affairs clown or not. ..Be the best Officer you can be until you piss off someone of Ethnicity and it goes to shit in a heartbeat...That place is so corrupt it isn't funny and it's reverse racism most of the time. ..Take a look why people left have been pushed out...you don't have to worry about the Officers worry about that shit bag inmate who says the right thing to the right administration and your screwed. ...Plus your fellow Officer will always have your back...NOT. ...place is a joke and a cesspool

  14. How was DW Kostura allowed to remain on the job when he was practically accused of a rape attempt on a staff member and never get suspended? Bernie, you need to look into that.

  15. There seems to be a unusually high amount of DHS employees who are also getting suspended and fired. Looks like HR is on a war path.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Amy Trapp has to keep the three new people she just hired busy. It'snot all popcorn and trips to New Orleans. They have to fire people, too.

  17. Why doesn't the Sheriff's department run the jail like other states, seems the jail and it's employees would be held to higher standards.

    1. The Sheriff's department does not want any part of the prison mess. Hell, a good portion of the Sheriff's Department are ex NCP C.O.,'s why do you think they left.

  18. Here's the problem in a nutshells:

Keen is in over his head and has no staff to lean on or rescue him because they are over their heads as well. Combine young lieutenants, a clueless captain, a deputy warden who is in a job he isn't built for and a director with very little experience and you have a recipe for disaster. It's doomed to fail unless these individuals have the courage to step down. I believe Keen could be a success if he was given a smaller role and had a much more capable staff under him.

  19. There is no leadership at prison, Mr.keen is way over his head. The administration needs to understand that corrections is a serious business. Mr. Keen doesn't have the experience to lead a prison the size of ncp. I think he might be a nice person, but, qualified to lead people in a correction environment. Currently morale is an all time low. Mr. Keen makes previous administrators look like superstars. Mrs trapp should vindictive behaviour is scary. Subordinates are ncp have no respect for the leader ship.

  20. Wow,everyone talks shit and says.....this and that....if you got walked out it would be a different story...who cares anyway. I'm sure there is life after NCP.....the place is cursed...look at the damn address...

  21. The bottom is the Captain spoke out on the misconduct of Keen and Trapp. His suspension is an attempt to keep silent and others in their place. The DA's office really needs to get involved. Enough is enough.

    ReplyDelete

    1. How do you know that's what the suspension has to do with? Is it possible there was some kind of misconduct on the employee's part?

  24. Again, all those who serve the residents of Northampton County, NEED TO GET OUT AND VOTE! Get your family to vote, get your friends to vote. This place is a mess since Brown was elected. The HR office has so many employees now (this was never the case before), and what do they do? Do they assist the employees? NO Do they assist the Supervisors NO. Wow the assistants in the HR office have assistants! The offices that actually work, need workers!

    PLEASE VOTE!!!

  25. Captain Collins tries to do what is right for the CO's and inmates-he is a man that you can approach and voice your concerns--he will voice his opinion if the situation warrants it against his bosses - you should question Kean and his cronies as to why he was suspended for speaking up about VERY BAD decision making (cover-up)hopefully the county won't lose another good employee -too many have been forced out before him--let's stop accepting mediocrity @ the prison---

  26. Trump for HR!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Bernie, once you become familiar with what really happened with captain Collins. You would understand clearly the real conspiracy between trapp the hit and run driver and Mr keens agenda and double dipping the county and his advances towards subordinates, all this issues will come to light soon

    ReplyDelete
  28. This administration is rotten to the core. A complete embarrassment to citizens of the county.

  29. I just got forced out of this pos place recently after 12 years of employment, they harassed me for a year straight, people sleeping on the job got away with it,because I opened my mouth I got punished, this shit needs to stop.

  31. I love how everyone pretends to know the reason. Speculation and innuendos are all we have here. First of all the person in questions was not the best candidate for is position. I am told through my connections that he was given the position over 10 over candidates that were more qualified. His lack of leadership and skills have put him in this position. You don't suspend someone for speaking out??? He has obliviously done something that has warranted suspension.

    ReplyDelete
  32. If I know Capt like I think I do, he will make it certainly clear as to why he was walked out. He has more integrity and courage than the rest of the administration put together. CAN'T WAIT.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Not knowing the particulars of the instant case, it is hard to come to any conclusion. However, if the majority of these posts are true, there seems to be myriad of problems at the prison. We are about to embark on the construction of a new prison, but we don't want a possible corrupt administration and organization designing it, operating it, and overseeing the project. An intensive independent investigation, where Co's can speak with anonymity, should be undertaken. After that, the administration should be taken to task and answer any or all allegations put forth. Also, Ms. Trapp and her minions must be left out of the quotient. Seeing Mr. Brown as an ally of the current prison administration, he also needs to be removed from the process.

  34. This can has been kicked down the road for over 40 years. Only those who can be trusted to keep mum on past corruption and future conspiracies against staff who are viewed as threats, will be considered for promotion. The jail has always been the county's step-child, but the entire county government has this terminal disease. Using inmates to inform on staff is a major contributing factor leading to riots. Truth. Look it up. Where are the Feds when you need them?

  35. It is time to find out who is Mr keen and his background. Which is at center stage with respect to Mr Collins administrative leave orsquestrated by the queen of crimes trapp

    ReplyDelete
  36. (Gross McKinley)Just fill out the paperwork for the Personnel appeals board now. Don't even give them a chance. Let the board decide who is telling the truth.

  38. The CO's brotherhood is impervious to outside scrutiny. A corrupt culture from top to bottom with the inmates caught in the middle of it all and they with no voice..no advocate..to speak for them. Last rung on the ladder at NCP. What a despicable jail we have and it is condoned by council and the courts and the tax payers.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Collins=integrity something keen and trapp don't have. Easy money David, once the truth comes out keen you are dead duck, so is the queen of hit and run.

  43. I bet there's a reason why Keen has moved from facilty to facility and never remained anywhere for long. Not normal at all.

    ReplyDelete
  44. The jail is merely a stepping stone for young co's looking for a chance to be a real cop. The elder co's are hanging on for their pensions and they control the flow of information and keep the corrupt system running as established by themselves over the years. Blow it up and start over.

  46. I have been employed with the Northampton County Department of Corrections for many years and when I started I was proud to be an employee of the Prison. Three County Executives and five Director of Corrections later, I say to myself what the blank was I thinking when I took the job. The pay and the benefits are abismal thanks to are elected officials and the way the Prison is run(oops Jail now)is like the inmates running the asylum. From the Director who is seldomly around to the Deputy Wardens that are Clueless and can not make a decision if their life's depended on it and majority of Lieutenants do not know how lead and supervise. There are only a few of us left that do our jobs well despite the working conditions we have to endure. It is sad to think that it not going to get any better. I guess the only thing to look forward as an employee there is retirement.

  47. for those that think the jail is a terrible place to work I have a suggestion--retire-quit-or stop complaining---get a real job !!-you do have options
