McClure is Down With PPP

Bethlehem Attorney Lamont McClure is expected to announce his bid for Northampton County Executive on Thursday. He's apparently running on a Preserve, Protect and Prosper platform, and I expect to hear details when he announces. He's down with PPP.

Donald Trump, in contrast, is down with PP.

Incumbent John Brown is expected to seek re-election. He's probably waiting until after The Donald's inauguration on Friday.

Showers are expected.

  1. With Brown being represented by U-PAC 108 his re-election is a lock, Bernie will shill relentlessl for McClueless but it will be a repeat of the Johnny Casino thrashing that set our pear shaped protagonist(?) over the edge.

  2. @Real just tweeted they should have never named a Chicago Airport after a blogger, lowest ratings ever, sad. Meanwhile Kelly Ann is on CNN blaming you for the weather and suggesting you may not like America. No questions from the pseudoPress (Psst, not real news, but certainly plausible).

  3. Anybody but Brown! Now the rest of council!

  4. I wouldn't be too quick to say McClure will be the Democratic nominee. I hear some other Democrats may be interested.

Given the mood of the electorate, Angle should run as an Independent. He was ahead of his time

  5. McClure will not be an easy fix for the democrats. He has lots of baggage. He can win and should win over a candidate like Brown but McClure must get over the primary

  6. "The Donald"? Clearly still pissed off that Hillary Clinton Rodham LOST. Deal with it, Fake News Dude!

  7. I voted for Brown, then I couldn't wait to get rid of him. Buyers remorse, indeed. Now I gotta wait 4 years until "The Donald" is ousted, too.

You would know all about being pissed.

This is called humor. The Donald used to be able tolaugh at himself, but not anymore. Won't be long before you morons resurrect John Adams' Sedition Act and start jailing people for joking about The Donald and pee pee.

Name them. Don't be coy. You're already anonymous. The only candidate I heard about was Werner and he pulled out.

  10. "You morons"? Gee, you sound pissed. How about that!

  12. Candidates don't have to announce jack. They circulate petitions and then they run. People know you have been recruited to shill for McClueless, after years of telling people why he was a zero. Since any other Dem will be maligned by this blog, why should they give you any notice?

Fact is McClure is not a very good choice for county executive. Baggage and poor numbers at the polls. If Brown can beat Callahan McClure is toast. Employees always bitch and then sleep in.

  13. Trump likes golden showers as much as Obama likes playing hide the weenie with Reggie Love and Hillary's seen more p***y than Bill (this is, according to Bill). If fake sexual predilection news is the order of the day, let's tell it like it really isn't and keep repeating it until some blogger runs with it as fact.

  14. McClure is Muncy's candidate. Muncy's electoral record is worse than the Cleveland Browns. I hear McClure is also backed by Morganelli. I can't remember an election Morganelli won where he had competition .

  15. 2:57, you poor baby! A little bit of humor has you all worked up! You must have been crying after SNL. Don't worry. The Donald will have a new Sedition Act in place faster than he builds that wall.

  16. 3:54, Muncy and the local Dem party are pretty much irrelevant. As for your slam at Morganelli, your memory is purposefully lousy. He beat Don Corriere, and then beat Emil Giordano, who is probably the most likable R in the LV. Better get ready for the Trump inauguration.

  17. There will be another candidate I have it on good authority. It is precisely because the person said that Democrats deserve a choice not like the Clinton fiasco where party insiders pre-pick the candidates. If that happens on Northampton County
democrats lose again. People want a choice.

  18. I agree that people always want a choice. Fortunately, they have a right to know what those choice are. Your unwillingness to name who is hiding behind the curtain at this late date is an indication that you are talking out your ass.

  19. "lock and load on a Friday too!"

If this comment is supposed to be an attempt to incite violence, I am disgusted. If it is a veiled threat, I am amused. An anonymous coward who can't say who he or she is would be the kind of person to hide behind a gun.

  20. Morganelli beat those guys in the last century

  21. Actually I know the person won't say a word until the petitions are collected just because of the way you are handling the situation., Since you will be attacking them anyway why give you advance notice to start early. You are in the tank for McClure just as with Zito, why in the world would a candidate help you attack them?

  22. You are hipper than I thought, BO! LOL!

  23. 8:54, I'm not attacking "them." I'm attacking you. If someone is unwilling to announce his candidacy at this late date for Executive out of fear that some bottom-feeding blogger might actually look at who he is, he probably should not be running at all. But as i already indicated, you are most likely talking out your ass.
