Charlie Dent and Fed Ed Secretly Wed

US Congressman Charlie Dent and embattled Allentown Mayor Edwin "Fed Ed" Pawlowski were secretly wed last night in a ceremony at the Islamic Community Center in Whitehall.

"It feels good to be out of the closet at long last,"said Dent as he and Fed Ed cut the wedding cake. Then he kissed me.

"I just want a few moments of happiness before I go away," explained Fed Ed. "I hope you check out our registry."

After a weekend in New Hope, both will be returning to their jobs.

The wedding was attended by a few close friends and about 40 FBI agents. Pope Francis officiated. "They look so good together," he remarked as he sampled hummus and baba ganoush at the Islamic Center.

  1. The only thing believable about this story is that 40 FBI agents would infiltrate a high profile gay wedding.

  2. I didn't even know they were gay. Congratulations to the two of them. I am glad politics didn't get in the way of true love. Of course Vice-President Pence will make them go to sexual orientation counseling next year., Still I wish them the best.

  3. Bernie,
It's to early in the morning, but this humorious piece is has me rolling on the floor. Here we have a indictee cutting the humus cheZZe with Dent at a co-consperiitors type of flag raising that was not allowed to be raised in Allentown pa at cityhall some time back in time?

  4. So how about explaining the the smear to the gay people is funny?

Why not just stick to the "races" from within your own family?

I don't find that funny at all and always gave you some class and better then that.
Its racist and bigoted Bernie and isn't funny.

For an award winning writer - your better then that

  5. How can anybody even be seen in a political picture with the "rotund one". It just shows how far "Charlie" has fallen down the political junk heap.

  7. This mandatory counseling as ordered by Vice President-elect Pence, is that going to be like the mandatory transgender bathroom counseling as ordered by Vice President Biden?

  8. On a serious note, when the heck are the feds going to indict this guy?

During the Presidential campaign, FBI director Comey was roundly criticized for revealing that more of Hillary Clinton's emails were discovered. His critics cited an unwritten rule that the feds are not supposed to do anything like make statements about or indict a candidate within six months of an election so as not to create the appearance of trying to influence the outcome of the election.

Pawlowski has stated that he is planning on running for reelection. The primary is on May 16, which is less than six months away. So if the feds are playing by this unwritten six month rule, they can't indict him until after the primary.

But wait a minute. What happens if he wins the primary (certainly a possibility if the anti-Pawlowski vote is split among several candidates)? The general election is less than six months after the primary. So, depending on the outcome of the Democratic primary, it could be almost a year until Pawlowski is indicted.

  9. "- your better then that"

    It's you're.

"So how about explaining the the smear to the gay people is funny?"

Actually, nobody smeared gay people. It just put two people in a ridiculously improbable situation.

  14. Bright side is at least there won't be any riots in Allentown after those evil racist Republicans lose to those righteous Democrats again.

  15. I'm sure Dent will get the message....It's not politically correct to be in a photo with a mayor who has been indicted in the press. Sorry Charlie but you're required to shun this guy...or else sort-a-thing.

  16. I have no problem with a RINO like Charlie Dent hanging out with a guy who hangs out with Mike Fleck because I'm liberal like that.

  17. Makes you wonder....
