Bill Blake Fundraiser Dec. 1

Northampton County Assistant District Attorney Bill Blake is fighting cancer. Thanks to the generosity of many people, a GoFundMe page established for Bill by Attorney Abe Kassis has raised over $11,000. It is really touching to see so many people dig into their pockets. There are lots of classy people out there.

But Abe is planning more. I'll let him tell you about it himself.

FROM ABE KASSIS: Thank you everyone for the OVERWHELMING response to this page. I can tell you that Bill and his family are so grateful for this amazing show of support.

All of us involved want you to know about a "Happy Hour" planned for December 1, 2016, at the Holy Family Club in Nazareth. Pass the word around. There will be light fare and a cash bar. All net door proceeds will go to help with family's expenses. The Verdict, comprised of some local attorneys (including yours truly) will be performing. Please refer to the attached flyer for more details.

Thank you all so much.

Abe

  3. The County health insurance is so bad they need a gofundme? Best wishes to him, but this is very sad.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
