After Investigation, NorCo Jail Investigator Fired

In late April, I told you that the investigator at Northampton County's jail, Christopher Naugle, was himself under investigation. He was fired on September 23, as you can see in a termination letter sent by HR Director Amy Trapp.

I obtained the termination letter via a RTK request. County officials refused to supply the Loudermill letter, which is more specific. But Trapp's letter suggests that Naugle may have violated the Code of Ethics, violated confidentiality, made untruthful statements and deviated from internal investigation procedures.

It's safe to say that Keen and Trapp are cleaning house.

  1. Amy is no joke, a highly competent HR person. She will root out the underperformers especially if they are afflicted with entitlement as a result of tenure.

  2. Very happy to hear this news. Thankfully the new administration is too smart to let Naugle's lies go by them. The employees that were terminated because of the lies he told have no recourse, but finally, karma has caught up to him. How does it feel Chris when the shoe is on the other foot? You took away the futures of many valued employees who could not defend the lies you wrote down in your reports. Human Resource Director Pat Siemiontowski, always believed the administration. I am real glad that Amy Trapp and Director Keen are doing the right thing, finally.

If what you are alleging is true, the right thing to do is reinstate the affected employees with no time lost and make good on what they lost.

  7. Reading that letter and being familiar with the process, my guess is that he never appeared for his Loudermill hearing. Take notice of how she made sure to mention that he was notified by both regular and certified mail of the hearing. He knew his goose was cooked.

  10. Cathy Allen..lurking in the shadows? Trapp and her? I don't think so. Two very different ethical belief systems from what I see.

  11. Cathy Allen is highly envious of Amy. Amy is attractive, educated, and competent. Her swagger is bought and paid for and rightly used. Cathy, not so much.
