Dead End

A reader cycling in rural Montana saw this bullet-riddled sign, and for some reason thought of me.

It pays to have a sense of humor. At least I think he was joking.

  2. What is it about this blog and the hatred of our fist African-American President? It is really shameful.

  5. @2:59 The problem isn't that Obama is African-American, the problem is that he's incompetent.

What's shameful are your distortions and race-baiting. I have been critical of Obama as president, but have never expressed hatred for him, and feel that he empowered a great number of people, including my grandson. Your somment is exactly the kind of attempt at vilification that had led to all the hatred and violence. It is also dishonest, and the fact that you are posting at 2:59 makes me question your mental stability.

  7. There's no hatred for Obama, just great disappointment that he has squandered the opportunity of the century to improve his race's standing in the country. He has been a dismal failure. If only it wasn't so.

  8. The reality is that may be your expeeience but not the collective narrative. Many of us have been happy with President Obama. And just because you arent doesnt make it factual or definitive.

  9. Ray, Obama did improve his race's standing in this country. Many young people have grown up seeing a black guy in a suit as the leader of this nation. That will affect their views of people of Cole in a very positive way. And it empowered people like my grandson. He actually went to Obama's inauguration. I think he has been inept, especially when it comes to foreign policy. But he has had a big impact on race.

  10. What I can't figure out is how a Dead End sign in the middle of nowhere with a bicycle leaning next to it can stimulate a discussion about Obama.

Good God get a life. It is more than politics.

  11. President Obama is a very clever tactician. He chose crazy uncle Joe as his running mate which insulates him from any type of impeachment proceedings. No one who worked with Biden wants him anywhere near the seat of power.

Dead end is the metaphor for those who ascend to the VP position. Very few have progressed higher although one has become greatly enriched selling the man made global warming Ponzi scheme.

  12. My reason for posting this sign had nothing to do with Obama or the presidential race. I just thought it was funny.

  13. Yet all these posts about how terrible President Obama is and you echo that sentiment. Many of these same posters were condemning this man before he was ever worn in. So if they hated him then and still hate him now it has nothing to do with job performance. There is another reason they so violently hate this man, What is it?

If he is going to be brought up the discussion should be balanced.

  14. First, you don't dictate to me how I run my blog. Second, you are in no position to evaluate what is balanced. Third, people are free to say what they want about Obama, Trump or Clinton, balanced or unbalanced. Now go get some sleep so you can post at 3 am.

  15. "Honest and humble" are not two words I would use to describe Joe Biden.

  16. Instead of all the right wing negative energy on this blog. Wouldn't it be nice if we all would pray for our nations leaders in these tough times. That would be more beneficial then regurgitating RNC talking points over and over again.

  17. Look, all I did was post a picture I thought was funny. You lunatics have demonstrated you are completely off the hook, drifting away. Bon voyage!

  18. I love the picture. You got it right Bernie. These posters are KoKKo for KooKoo Puffs!

  19. "Dumb as a post" is how many others describe Joe Biden.

  20. Other than the right wing whackos, Joe Biden is seen as a decent man who has suffered great personal losses.
