Was the borough [Nazareth] w\o local coverage for a portion of memorial day weekend?
I saw PSP response to a domestic on sunday
Blogger's reply: I no longer note when Nazareth is without police coverage because of a concern that it could tip off the bad guys. But yes, you are correct. i must have seen the same trooper you did.

Is Steve Baron a full time employee? Seen at Spring Garden School many times during workdays. Who does he report to? Is he a full time volunteer at the school?
Blogger's reply: You see him there because that is where his daughters go to school. As you know, no parent is going to be permitted to spend his or her day at the school. But many parents pitch in with different activities, and it is no surprose to see that barron is one of them. This is a petty criticism that would demean you if you identified yourself.

looks like you are a republican with an axe to grind.
Blogger's Reply: That's nice.

Bernie's article about the storied corruption of Pennsylvania included a reference to the current Attorney General, Kathleen Kane. That whole mess can boil down to, as one commenter noted, making citizens wonder whether the AGs office can deal with our consumer problems, and with other legal matters for our protection.
OTOH, Kathleen Kane is a bit of an enigma. Who and what is she, really? What is really going on there? Is she the "problem" or the victim? We are aware of the Sandusky affair in central Pennsylvania, and of the still-missing Ray Gricar, vanished from Centre County's legal office. Then there was the Franklin Savings cover-up....I wonder whether the truth will ever come out, or whether the best would be as another commenter said, for Ms. Kane to go home and take care of her children?

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
Every woman attacked and riot for Hillary means more votes for Trump.
ReplyDeleteYes, Mrs. Kane should go home and take care of her children, as should Mayor Pawlowski, Mike Fleck, Rob McCord, Rep. Schlossberg and the other men I've never heard this comment made about. But Lisa Pawlowski, who has been critized for staying home, should go to work.
ReplyDeleteBernie,

Re:publican redd
Mr Barron is to be commended for taking time to volunteer at his childrens' school. More parents should do the same.
ReplyDeleteI am appalled to the core by his political beliefs and his professional/personal behavior at the county, but I separate those beliefs when it comes to spending time at school. This actually redeems him somewhat.
Lisa Pawlowski is just as guilty as her old man. She was the campaign money person and she wrote the big checks out for the Pawlowski posse. {i.e. Guridy, Mota, Mueller, Davis, Glazier, Theil and so forth]. As part owner of their house and recipient of a free makeover and a new man-cave for his honor, courtesy of Stellar Construction, she personally wrote the monthly massive checks to H-Street Strategies [Michael Fleck & company]. Pure money laundering of extorted campaign donations! This is where she has direct criminal compliance and should be considered for indictment. This might help bringing the denying and non-remorseful Fed Ed back to reality!
ReplyDeleteDid she pay for the water war vote were moto was heavily sadated getting her liposuction that obviously didn't work either? Ooo by the way she was not even on American soil when her vote was cast via Holio's cell phone to the Dominican Republic?!($
DeletePersonally, this sounds very similar butt not like Darth voter in the pa state capitol?!($
Re:publican redd
Freemansburg had their own police coverage this weekend and they only got one chief running the department.
ReplyDeleteKathy Kane has clearly achieved the Peter Principle in her career.
ReplyDelete10:43AM: There is a rumor that the Pawlowskis have separated.Would that make it possible or likely that she could testify against him in exchange for probation rather than prison time?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the latest about the collapsing sidewalks into the culverts along Easton Ave near the intersection with Willow Park? This time last year I recall reading on LVR that there was an agreement that PennDOT would supply materials and the Twp do the work. Then I read that the BOC backed out, or put it on hold, because they didn't want to take ownership of the larger issue. Needed to "look into more", or something like that. A year has passed: attractive barricades are still up; still a hazard. I know governments move slow, but it has been a year. Any action this year, or is this an indefinite state of affairs?
ReplyDeleteBT is also dragging its feet on the repaving of Brodhead Road. Last I heard, in the fall they were going to pay an engineer to do a "detailed study" on the costs. It's a frickin' road of known length and width, just get bids and get it done! It's like Bangladesh Boulevard. You definitely know when you've crossed into Hanover Township, the surface immediately improves greatly. Worst quality road in the Valley.
ReplyDelete@2:13 - township officials are now forcing the property owners to fix the damage. To me, it's the ultimate slap in the face and totally disgraceful due to the negligence of Bethlehem Twp.
ReplyDeleteOvem, As another reader noted, the Township had decided to do the repairs with material supplied by PennDot. but it decided against doing anything after a title search revealed that the culvert is owned by the contiguous owners and not the Township. There is also some evidence that the culvert was constructed by PennDOT. It is an eyesore, but those barriers are here for safety.
ReplyDelete5:55, I don't think your assessment is accurate. About a month ago, the Twp started engineering the scope of work. The actual paving is going to be in the millions.
ReplyDeleteThe Phillies won today, beating Milwaukee. Well done :) However it also appears that by and large, the Phillie's offense has simply run out of gas.
ReplyDeleteThe team performed well during April and most of May; however it appears that they were performing way over their heads and they're sinking fast to their true level of performance.
What then need are players that can make a lot more contact, get to first without making out, and produce more runs. No matter how good the pitching is, if you aren't scoring runs, you aren't going to win.
They should keep playing in the 1970s uniforms also as they did today. It can't hurt. Maybe it would be like the Lighting Bolt that the New York Knights wore on their uniforms in "The Natural".
The IRS finally revealed a list of tea party groups targeted for extra scrutiny.
ReplyDeleteThe left constantly whines about voter ID laws causing voter suppression. This is the feds engaging in deliberate voter suppression.
Sanders is right to question the Clinton Foundation. This is the great shame of the national press that it did not investigate the Clinton Foundation and its influence on Hillary Clinton's decisions as Secretary of State.
ReplyDeletePathetic...
As a kid, there were times I thought I don't want to be here and silly me for bringing another life into this mess we have allowed to happen.
ReplyDeleteTrump is the only salvation for this nation. Once elected he should declare marshal law until the mess in the nation is cleared up.
ReplyDeleteBy far one of the dumbest comments I've ever seen on this blog.
Delete@5:55,
ReplyDeleteThere are two reasons that the pavement improves when you cross the Township line. 1.) The access to 512 is not a straight shot. The access to 191 is practically a straight line. 2.) Most of the warehouses are in Bethlehem Township, therefore, that section of the road is more heavily traveled.
