Green Pond Marsh:Golfers v. Environmentalists?
The only Commissioner I know who will almost certainly oppose the waivers and deferrals being sought is Tom Nolan, who has previously called the proposed community a "poor plan" at a "terrible location."
General opposition to overdevelopment, along with increased storm waters and traffic congestion, had consequences at the polls. For the first time, Bethlehem Township's Board of Commissioners has a majority of Democrats. But the senior most Democrat, Michael Hudak, supports the development, and even made catcalls at opponents at a planning commission meeting last year. Democrat Malissa Davis, who ran under the "Save Green Pond" banner, is an unknown quantity. So is Democrat Kim Jenkins, who never attended a meeting and was shocked to be elected.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
Green Pond shareholders say, let them eat cake
ReplyDeleteSAVE GREEN POND
ReplyDeleteIs Hudak the punch line or the joke?
ReplyDeleteLet Green Pond be Green Pond.Only the greedy(Hudak / developers/Green Pond golf club investors)) and the foolish (Hudak) agree with its destruction for the benefit of a few rich folks at the everlasting expense of 180 species of birds who enrich our community immensely by their presence.

ReplyDeleteThat's disturbing. Haven't they had at least 2 or 3 since January???
