Allentown Health Director Tapped to head DCED

Informed sources tell me that Allentown Mayor Edwin "Fed Ed" Pawlowski has tapped Health Director Vicky Kistler to head up the City's Department of Community and Economic Development, which was recently vacated by Sara Hailstone. A few years ago, he also put her in charge of the Parks Department as an interim director. She has proven to be a good Pawlowski soldier, and I'll have more about that next week.

  1. And Vicky already has her lifetime supply of Kool-Aid!

  2. I watched her through the bicounty health department fiasco.
Yes, she can take orders alright.
I yes gal of many years standing.
    She's perfect for the job.
    What a joke.

  3. Kistler is a long-time Allentown bureaucrat, been working for the city since the early 1990s.

  4. Just a pawn. Nice lady. Does anyone feel she is qualified for these jobs the Mayor appoints her to do?

  5. Will the next administration be able to get rid of all these pawlowski toadies? That is if the Mayor's replacement is someone outside of his circle of criminality.

  6. Because of her close association with Fed Ed, one must assume she's violated public trust and will likely be arrested. The questions at hand are: what illegal things has she done and how long before she negotiates a plea? The stink wafts nearest the dung pile. Vicky is rather near.

  7. She runs the health bureau. It's just a non-political bastion of bureaucracy. No she isn't qualified. No qualified person is going to come within ten miles of the stinking heap of feces that is Allentown right now. What qualified person would ever take a job where their boss is likely to be marched out in handcuffs at any time?

Vicki is a nice lady, always ready to help, not qualified but also wont come in and wreck the place.

You really have to worry that Pawlowski is not in a good mental state right now and could saddle the city with a terrible hire from outside who can do a lot of damage in the interim period until they leave with no one minding the store.

Even if you don't like Vicki, the evil that we know is always better than whatever person of poor judgment would take this job under the circumstances from the outside.

  9. Yes. She was Parks Director for a time.
If you would like to see what the condition of Allentown's parks are, I would suggest parking near the main entrance of the Lehigh Parkway, taking a short hike, and looking at the large collapsed retaining wall.
I could describe it, but you wouldn't believe it.

  10. She sure fucked up the bi-county health bureau.
She can write a basic grant and follow orders.
    End of story.

  11. Doesn't really matter the next mayor should wipe out all the directors anyway. That's what normally happens during the transition.

  12. Vicki was a poor choice for park director. Now it appears she has lost her way much like another top female official. Has she no pride?

Someone else addressed Lehigh Parkway's present condition. It's been at least six years the orange barriers have been blocking parts of the main road.
But as disgusting as it's condition is the conduct of the Trexler trustees.

A health bureau can close a business down. Extremely political.
