Bob Werner (left) presents proclamation honoring D Freeman (right) |
Freeman came with Premier Healthcare Resources, a privatized administrator for a public home.
The biggest change under Freeman has been a significant increase in residents at Gracedale. Census has grown from 590, when the threat of sale loomed, to highs near 700. The more patients, the more revenue.
He also aggressively pursued accounts receivable, conducting bi-weekly accounts receivable reviews thatwent through each file. going through each file. A collections law firm has brought in $1.4 million, and payment plans are in place for some accounts that were written off in the past.
Through effective use of risk management, workers' compensation claims have dropped from $2 million in 2011 to just $166,000 last year.
Most importantly, and for the first time in 40 years, Gracedale received a zero-deficiency survey from the Department of Health.
Northampton County Council honored Freeman with a proclamation, with Bob Werner calling Freeman a "Godsend."
Interesting and ironic that he is choosing to go to Parkhouse. It used to be the Montgomery County owned nursing home until it was privatized last year by a majority Democratic Board of Commissioners.
ReplyDelete"D" is a good guy who will be sorely missed.
ReplyDeleteDoes Werner own another shirt and suit?
ReplyDeleteNow, now. Don't be hatin' on Bobby's wardrobe. He's down with the threads and his cufflink bling.
ReplyDeleteIs this supposed to be a valid criticism? He is not representing Saucon Valley Country Club, but the people of Northampton County. He makes an effort to wear nice clothing at Council meetings. I don't think people give a shit whether he has an extensive wardrobe. That says more about you than him.
ReplyDelete10:03 thinks he is an editor at GQ.
ReplyDeleteOle Bobby's got the blackjack dealer look going. Or the burial plot salesman.
ReplyDeleteHe needs a string tie to complete the look.
ReplyDeleteYou're really caught up with appearances. That is the mark of a shallow person.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a gopher in a suit.
ReplyDeleteIt's just that Bobby needs to buy at least one more suit and shirt if he plans on running for county executive.
