You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
This was such a tragedy. My condolences to his family. But let us hope that the boy that tackled him knows it was not his fault, I can't even imagine what he might be going througb
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the young man who delivered the final hit feels terrible. At this point, we do not know whether that or any of the hits delivered have anything to do with it. It's very sad.
ReplyDeleteSad Sad Sad
ReplyDeleteET reports his name as MURRAY. One of you is wrong.
ReplyDeleteIt IS Murray. Bernie, out of respect for the young man please edit this posting accordingly.
ReplyDeleteThis is unbelievable and will have an impact on contact sports as a whole. While I have enjoyed playing and being a fan of football... wondering when the country will start to reel this in. Too many young boys and men over the years have died or been paralyzed or suffer life long consequences for having played the sport. Is it worth it? I would suspect that in our life times football is here to stay but in the future it will probably fade away as we know it today.
ReplyDeleteYou are jumping to conclusions.
