McNeill to Host Budget Rally on Wednesday
McNeill will be joined by teachers, labor members, local officials and seniors who are concerned about the lack of progress in passing a responsible budget.
He beliefves the core issues facing Pennsylvania are a structural budget deficit; a drastically underfunded school system; and rising property taxes for seniors and middle-class families.
While there, he'll also be collecting school supplies which will be handed out to students in need in his district.

mr. mcneill is first and foremost a union man. the structural deficit he refers to is really caused by the pension problem. he and his fellow democrats refuse to make the pension changes necessary, although, they would only affect future hires. his rally is just a meaningless smokescreen for his party's failure to enact meaningful reform.
ReplyDeleteWell said MM
ReplyDeleteSpot on MM. Tom Wolfe's budget got zero votes and he is proving to be a clueless left wing ideologue. There was no need to veto the entire budget when 2/3 of the line items were identical.
ReplyDeleteNot true MM. Mr. McNeil is a building trades union guy and they paid their own way and pay for their own pension. Why don't you make an effort to distinguish between trades unions and public sector unions before you blast a guy because he is Union
ReplyDeleteMM is completely correct, I have read his mail outs. I don't think he has much original thought, he was placed there by the party.
ReplyDeleteIs this guy even literate?
ReplyDeleteWOW. MM - The Gov just gave the republicans a budget that met 80% of what they are asking for AND helpd the pensioners AND helps othe deficit. What did the republicans do? Reject because those who pay their way (business) aren't protected. And the pension problem was not caused by the people paying into the pension, it was caused by the politicians who delayed payments for themselves and the school districts. Now a baloon payment is due and they are crying foul! Boo hoo...the people necer stopped paying in, and indeed the amount required of them was increased. Stop blaming the people and blame the politicians.
