Nazareth Under Martial Law?

GI Joe
Has the military finally decided to find out who put those "Fire Trachta" stickers on a mailbox? Nah. Despite the ominous look, the uniformed soldiers marching down Main Street were part of Nazareth's annual Memorial Day Parade.

It is a day to honor fallen heroes, but Nazareth Borough Council was at the head of the parade, right behind the American Legion.Nobody clapped for them.

Old war engines rattled down the street, while even older veterans walked along. Scout Troops also participated, along ith the Nazareth Area High School marching band.

Firetrucks made up the rear of this convoy. I thought I saw a few poker machines in the Vigilance Hose trucks, but was distracted because my dog was pissing on some old lady.

She thought it was rain, and I agreed.

Cub Scouts Pack 88
LV Pink Heals was there as well, raising awareness of women's health. The event ended with speeches outside of Borough Hall.

Below is a slideshow of pics from the parade. If you see your children in one of them, and would like a copy, email me at BOHare5948@aol.com.

  1. Bernie ,It is common for VFW and Legion s and Marine Corps League to carry rifles and other hardware on streets of America during these occasions. I would now want to make sure they are all cleared and actually a card carrying member to a veterans group BEFORE they are out here. This nation has changed. We do not ever need an incident where some wackjob gets in the middle of the American display of patriotism ,and hurts someone. There are to many IMPOSTOR vets now.

  2. Bernie,
That was almost a gutbuster on this day a celebration to the fighters of freedom past¿ If they could see this nation today, most of them would roll over in there grave to get up and fight again¿

  4. Pete,
I would think locally televised public stoning on center square would stop the political corruption to begin with¿ Than the same should be done to those that pay campaign donations as bribes to ommit there criminal activities¿

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics.
