You can read his resignation here.

  1. Not a huge surprise, is it?

More interesting would be your take on the Arneson firing.

  2. I am in line with what Mutchler had to say.

  3. There are politics in county office who should be working on polishing up their resignation letters too. Although their one bullet point would be:
Eliminated 1/2 the county workforce due to establishment of crippling health insurance, creating a work environment that is both hostile and non supportive, and made political decisions that were not only bad for employees but for every Northampton county resident. All by choosing and voting to approve (county council members can use that piece) spending county tax dollars on consultants.

I will say that it is OK for any of them to use this wonderfully written bullet pointin their resignations.

  4. I know 5 of them who could use this letter, three of them for sure

  5. I voted for McCord in the primary. He was the only one to push hard for the legalization of marijuana.

  6. 12:48,

Keep up the good work, John

  7. How insincere. He's being investigated by the FBI and will likely end up in jail. This would be a major news if he wasn't another Democrat. For crooked Democrats, it's just another day that ends in y.

  8. Wasn't this the guy Pawlowksi and 7 Points Consulting were pushing for Governor?

Anyone know why Seven Points Consulting is changing names to H Street Strategies. Won't that be three names in a year.

The fact that Pawlowski has created a PAC to field candidates of his choosing speaks for itself.

  9. Seven Points Consulting has changed its name to K. Dierdre Points Consulting.

  10. Did you see the latest? Apparently, Rob McCord is now resigning immediately and will plead guilty to federal campaign law violations.

  11. The lesson of this is: Never trust a treasurer named Rob.

  12. McCord's actions sound eerily similiar to Barron's a few years ago when he very publicly was called out for telling an airport area company that they will never do business in Northampton County if he has anything to do about it. Maybe the Feds should probe Barron's past actions as well. At the very least he should resign.

  13. The union threats and his working as a teacher while full time controller are definitely bad. He should be reported to the ethics board for ethical violations.

    Thanks for the quick chuckle.

Glad I didn't listen to "my" PSEA and supported Wolf in the primary. I don't agree with his some of his social views, but believe he can be an effective Governor if the General Assembly meets him half way.

  15. Funny, when I read about why McCord really stepped down, similar to 9:27, Barron was the first thing that came to my mind. However, John Brown has done a pretty good job of helping Barron improve his image. Without knowing his opponent, and so much more for Brown to do (and per the account in the Express, there's more to come) its way too early to read any tea leaves for November.
