Chances Good There's a Snow Emergency Where You Live

You can check for it at WFMZ-TV 69's Stomcenter before your car is towed. i received notice from Hanover Township that their snow emergency starts at 6 am Monday. Lower Nazareth starts at midnight. Nazareth's emergency starts at 2 pm. You can park in the Borough Park or the South Green Street parking lot until the emergency is lifted. Eastern Pa. Weather Authority is calling for 9-14", with areas to the east of Allentown getting more.

If you shovel snow, exercise caution. Take plenty of breaks. Hire a servant and don't pay him. This is when people experience heart attacks. I have no heart so I have no cause for concern.

  1. I'm gonna use my 4WD tomorrow and Tuesday. I'd hate to be stuck in a fru-fru luxury car in such winter weather - unless it belonged to someone else and then I might not care. Anyone with a 4WD would be foolish to leave it hiding in a garage...

This would be a great job for Jimmie G. Let him out on work release, to shovel snow in the bitter cold. Then throw his butt back in prison at the end of day for mediocre food and an early lights out. We deserve a return on our money.

Maybe he'd wear one of his pastel-colored shirts and drive the lonely old men watching from behind their frost covered windows crazy.

  3. My understanding is that if you park on Ridge Street in West Easton, your car may simply be towed - snow emergency or not. That's the word going around.

  4. Mr. Gregory who is a vegetarian does not have his nutritional preferences respected in prison according to sources. Apparently vegetarians are not treated with respect.

  6. No email is truly anonymous. They can all be traced back to their author. If I have something to say to or about Mezzacappa, I sign my name. I do not send anonymous emails or post comments anonymously. To be frank, I think Mezzcappa may be sending these to herself so she can play the victim.

She has claimed to have received anonymous emails before, but they were gone when police asked for them so they could be traced.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
