I'm Back - No More Mr. Nice Guy

I've made it back from York, and am raring to get back into Lehigh Valley issues. But before I do so, I have to tell you that I have made a New Year's resolution.

No more Mr. Nice Guy.

  1. Happy to hear you are coming out of your shell. Once over your shyness, you will be fine.

  4. You need to expose the fraud being committed by the Brown administration. That would keep any blogger busy 24/7. Fraudulent travel expenses are the tip of the iceberg. Sleazy sidekick Allen needs to be watched like a hawk. You are the only true watchdog out there Bernie, although having Matt Assad on the beat will help. He is nobody's lapdog and will tell it like it is. Together I hope you can obtain emails and other public documents that reveal the true sordid nature of this administration.

  6. Take a look at Bangor Boroughs new manger, the council and the solicitor. The new regime is dirty and doesn't care about residents. Bangor residents and businesses will lose if they dont watch and speak up. Keep your ears open.

  7. Bernie, Issues of commerce and exposure of new business, along with many of the great existing employers here are our hope in the new year.As many as 5,000 jobs across the street from Tatamy may be a catalyst for other new markets. My hope is that government , does not screw it up. Additionally ,many of us will have Norm Seidel ,Esq. in our thoughts today, as he has passed.

  8. 2014 was a total disaster for Brownie's administration. From cozy, sole-source, and at times illegal contracts, to wasteful spending on consultants to do the work of his lame administrators, to cheating on travel expense accounts, to a budget balanced on illegal financing, to the mass exit of experienced employees, to alienating his entire workforce, to hiding behind a media consultant, to posting deputy sheriffs at his office doors to keep away the press, to refusing to comply with a RTK request for e-mails, etc. etc. etc. His legacy so far has been that of fear, fraud and failure. Let's hope he comes to his senses in the New Year and realizes that he is not a despot running a failing business. He needs to become a real leader v. a pouty dictator. Let's hope for a happier New Year for Northampton County government!!!

  10. Bernie is a nice guy --just don't screw around with him --because he will find impeachment in the end. He knows all about it . Lesson learned.None of us are perfect, but the goal post is visible to people like myself ,to tell it straight as you know it to be ,pay TAXES ,then die, with a published obituary .THAT'S IT!Happy New Year, lets start over.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
