Another Nazareth Bombshell - Reinstated Officer Alleges Civil Rights Violation

Nazareth Borough Council tried to fire Police Officer Fred Lahovski, but he was re-instated as a result of an Arbitrator's Award. He has now turned around and fired back, with an exhaustive civil rights lawsuit that raises all kinds of questions about what the hell is going on in Nazareth government. I will report back when I have finished reading the complaint (it's the longest one I've ever seen). For those of you who want to read it yourselves, here's a link.

  1. FRED LEHOVSKI WAS A BUM WHEN HE WORKED FOR BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP AND HE WAS LET GO THROUGH SOME AGREEMENT PROBABLY PROTECTED BY THE UNION . HE HAS SOME REAL ISSUES AND SHOULD NOT BE A POLICE OFFICER ANYWHERE.

  2. Using caps is considered as shouting. It doesn't make your accusation believable, or readable.

  3. Zoid, I'll respond when I've finished reading the complaint and all attachments.

  4. This should open the eyes of everyone who shrugged off the "Sticker Gang" harassment as petty. Apparently, Trachta's treatment of the three men in the case is symptomatic of a larger sickness in Nazareth. Allegations against these people are piling up.

    1. It would appear that all these law suits have a one or two common factors. Chief Trachta and part-timer police officer Dan Troxell. I guess I could understand council wanting to financially Defend Chief Trachta. For purposes of not making themselves look guilty, but it's too late. You look more guilty like you have something to hide, by refusal to let him go. As for Dan Troxell, he's an at will employee. Let him go! Stop the insanity!

  7. I'm going slowly, but it appears to involve the Borough Council, Mayor and Trachta.

    1. It would appear that at this time. Nazareth Borough council, has no choice but to suspend Chief Trachta until a investigation of these allegations can be completed. Failure to perform any restrictions or actions to immediately stop this guy, will surely results in further legal action against Nazareth Borough and EACH COUNCIL MEMBER as an individual!

    1. Here is some great and free legal advice for tonight's council meeting!

All council members need to do the opposite of whatever Chief Trachta recommends! It's time council takes back their authority over Chief Trachta. If you refuse to follow this advice. Then you have already chosen to fail and become legally liable for your actions. I believe that the chambers will be a packed house tonight anyway. So if you don't want a lot of registered voters making the decision who they vote for tonight. Start with firing Chief Trachta! Or at least suspend him. Conduct unbecoming!

  11. Hire the sticker gang as your police Nazareth. As it appears you have descended into anarchy you may as well go all the way. So you might as well appoint O'Hare as Mayor.

Nazareth officials, unless you grow a backbone hire a topnotch legal team to fight this nonsense, I see no alternative. As it is, you appear to be willing to cave into the pressure from this motley crew.

Have you not read the arbitration decisions that are in the law suit. These are legal proceedings that have already occurred. You can hire the best legal team in the world, but they just can't fix stupid! Fire Trachta, make Alan Koch acting Police Chief until they hire a new one, or until they decide to keep Alan Koch as the permit police Chief. Stop hiring outsiders that have no investment in our community.

Blame can't be placed on The Sticker Gang. Though, their treatment by Trachta opened many eyes to his belief that he can play God, abuse his position, and abuse the rights of others.
Nazareth is now neck deep in shit - thanks to Trachta.

  13. My best friend during Officers Candidate School was a Puerto Rican, did not take his Commission ,instead became the Sergeant Major of The Puerto Rican National Guard,Command Sergeant Major, David Diaz. He knew what to do as a good leader of troops ,he was an HONORABLE AMERICAN.Puerto Ricans are Americans. They don't have to creep across our borders.Oh Boy! Joe Nunez also ,I have known 20 years or more, he has been to my home. He is like my surrogate brother as far as I'm concerned.

  16. At a minimum, this is what happens when local elected officials become involved in day to day activities. They will get what they deserve. Unfortunately, their families will have to suffer through this. Notice how these elected officials were named as "individuals" and in their official capacity. The Borough's insurance carrier will represent them in their official capacity but not as "individuals". They will need to hire, at their own expense, an attorney(s) to get them out of this if they can. I read the complaint and it is exhaustive and will take a long time to sort through. A settlement will mostly be on the table. The problem will be is that the taxpayer will pay and the named individuals will likely skate. Anyway, this matter is a mess. I really think local elected officials in the County should watch this and learn. Let your hired management handle these things. Its not 1960 anymore. Furthermore, elected officials that let other elected officials become in employee matters should also take heed that they too can become roped into the misactions of their peers. IMHO

  17. This is a cautionary tale for Nazareth voters. Sometimes you get what you elect. Council has been populated by sleazy drunks and investigation obstructors who refused to resign when their arrests were made known. These lowlifes were popularly elected. Is anyone surprised at the way things were mismanaged and got to this very expensive point? Easton took years to learn this. Bethlehem too.

  18. Nazareth has no idea who they are dealing with. Lahovski is the guy you drop into hostile territory then deny any knowledge about him.

  19. Well Nazareth Borough is in executive session. But hey they tell us they are going to have an agency come in and do a study. Nothing like passing the buck along and doing nothing. All while good people suffer at the hands of Chief Trachta and Officer Dan Troxell. So.......I believe that this agency is going to come into town, talk to only Chief Trachta get his feel for things and recommendations for what ever he wants right? Nothing for the people! The ONLY option is to FT! FIRE TRACHTA!

  20. I would bet this situation is more common than most would think in these local police departments. It's the Chiefs way or the highway, and I would bet like Trachta they all have their favorites. We as residents will be the ones to pay for this!

  21. Was handgun 'instructor for this lady cop even qualifies to test?I bet $1000.00 could flunk him at the range if he really did this to her, because of he did I know what he's made of. He would not have any metal or respect for firearms not to help his student do better with proper prior institution.B-27's and or Q-targets are not that hard of a coarse.Even back at 25 yrds no excuse.
