Dolan Removed From Parks Committee

Bethlehem City Council member Karen Dolan, whose conflicts of interest with Illick's Mill have drown the attention of an Investigating Grand Jury, has been removed from City Council's Parks Committee. She previously served there as Chair.

Council President J. Willie Reynolds announced Dolan's removal in a memo to other Council members late yesterday.
"[G]iven the ongoing Grand Jury investigation and the upcoming discussion of a new lease for the Fox Environmental Center, Council Member Dolan’s role as Chair of the Parks and Public Property Committee could give the appearance of a conflict of interest."
Reynolds indicated that he discussed this matter in advance with Dolan, who agreed to the change.

The Parks Committee will now be chaired by Cathy Reuscher. The other two members are Bryan Callahan and Mike Recchiuti

  6. My blog is being intentionally spammed again. My guess is that Mezzacappa is unhappy that her libel and fraud case against me was dismissed yesterday bc she refused to pay the filing fees, and wanted taxpayers to subsidize her private vendettas.

  10. How hard is it to make garbage zones

    South Side- Mondays
    Lehigh County Side- Tuesdays
Using Dewberry Ave as the cut off
    North of Dewberry- Wednesday
    South of Dewberry- Thursday

Change recycling days to match above, Take it one step further and put a dumpster at the recycling center to allow for trash bag drop off for stinky stuff.

  12. I have been tracking all the trucks that enter the adjoining municipality. My list is up to 32 different hauler using the roads here. Palmer Township which has a single hauler has 5 trucks on the road every day picking up trash. Do the math, nuf said.

  13. Remember. Karen is smarter and better off than the rest of us in Bethlehem. She live in a better neighborhood and has a fire suppression system in her house. This is a person that has lost touch with reality. Needs to resign and just go away

  15. Did anyone see the photos of Dolan in the 5/5/14 story in the Express Times online about some parking lot deal at the Rose Garden? She looks so damn smug and arrogant, trying to make it look like she is deciding on the fate of the world, makes me sick. Other than the fact that she is a democrat, why the heck was she elected?

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
