New Snow Emergency in Hanover Tp, Easton

Hanover Township - Hanover Tp (Northampton) announces a Snow Emergency effective at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 through 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2014.

Easton - via Mayor Sal Panto - SNOW EMERGENCY GOES INTO EFFECT TONIGHT AT 9PM IN THE CITY OF EASTON. The resident on these main roads will need to move their cars for proper plowing. The city parking garage will be open for free all night until tomorrow morning. This is posted now to try and give as much notice as possible. Yesterday's snow emergency required no cars to be towed. Thank you for your cooperation and thank you to all of the public works, police and fire employees for doing a great job.

    How about a blog on what is being or "not being done" with those trash cans and chairs all over Easton holding parking spots. I believe that there is a city ordinance that forbids this but no one is enforcing it. I've seen fights break out over these darn cans and chairs. Also the cars that have been left parked prior to the snow for months as there is on in front of 1325 Lehigh st. and no one tows or tickets them. Please help put that out there and get us some results if you can. thanks

  2. Hi Bern,
    wondering if you could post on parking spots being held illegally by chairs and cans. These are causing fights and arguments in Easton not to mention that some people don't even shovel and pull out cans right away to place on empty spots. Also if the city helped get the in between snow out it would help. Another thing that adds to this nightmare is cars being stored on the street parking spots for months and then when this happens they sit there filled with snow and no one tickets or tows them. Easton needs your help. Thanks
