Former NorCo Elections Comm'n Chair Jailed Over DUI

Nicole Schlener, who has served as an Elections Commissioner and was at one time its chair, is in Northampton County jail, serving a 90-day minimum sentence as a result of her conviction for DUI as a second offense.

Now going by the name Motchos, her entrance into jail was delayed because she suffered a brain aneurysm and other medical complications. While attempting to recover from that ordeal, she was assaulted by a boyfriend who slammed her head against the wall several times.

She is the former wife of Bethlehem firefighter James Schlener, who lost his job as a result of his own DUI during a time when he had called off sick.

Schlener's term as an Elections Commissioner expired in December.

  3. She has big issues with alcohol or a total nut or both!
I saw her scratch, kick & bite her boyfriend outside the Jeff's club in Bethlehem. She staggered, stumbled, and fell off the walkway into street. when cops show up she said she was attacked. If there would not have been witnesses the boyfriend was heading to jail.

  7. Well her name was Schlener. I believe that is part of the story. And I believe this is something people should know. Having said that, I've heard she's doing very well and wish her the best.

  13. I think you are right. These are anonymous comments that attack this woman personally. I am deleting them and am asking that people take responsibility for their words.

  17. Ten years behind West Virginia. That's pretty sad. WV expected to legalize medical marijuana next.

  18. That would actually make me think twice about whether this is a good idea. Incidentally, you are off topic.

  19. The anonymous comments attacked Nicole, not me, and I was properly taken to task for not removing the ugly gossip about her.

As for you, you are insane Tricia and attack me every day. You add nothing to any discussion except for your own histrionics, with a vulgar mouth.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
