Judge Giordano with his sister and brother. Thank God his sister looks nothing like him . (This caption was written by Ron Angle so he is the one you need to hold in contempt, Your Magnificence. ) |
Supreme Court justices were far more unpopular. Max Baer won with 58%. Ronald Castille, the Chief Justice, got only 56% of the vote. I voted No to him. There is no doubt in my mind that he would have raised the retirement ages of judges by judicial decree, but for the fact that he was caught.
While discussing judges, let's look at the Superior Court race between Democrat Jack McVay and Republican Vic Stabile. In a democratic County, Republican Stabile defeated Democrat McVay, 16793 to 15308. That's a wider margin of victory than the Brown-Callahan race. It is additional proof that Republicans voted and Democrats did not.
I'll never figure out Castille - he was a true war hero, a great DA in Philly, and has been a disgrace to the bench ever since his election.
ReplyDeleteJust two examples include the pay raise case and 'kids for cash' up in Luzerne county.
I voted no too, and am deeply disappointed he was re-elected.

I voted No on Castille as well, because his rulings are too far right, as in the "police state" can do no wrong.
ReplyDeleteExcept that his activism from the bench went both ways, as if the law didn't apply to him.
ReplyDeleteSo I don't see him as 'far right' as I do 'usually wrong.'
Judge GIORDANO , I remember putting your signs out for the first time you ran. I have been in your court room and have observed your judicial demeanor. We are fortunate here to have you as a judge.Thank you for your service to this county.
ReplyDeleteI personally believe. Judge Giordano shoul be a full-time coach. The kids live him, and he keeps it fun.
ReplyDeleteWay to go EMIL!! Probably the best judge on the NORCO bench.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Judge Giordano!
