Benol, Geissinger Display Some Class
Benol, speaking for himself and Glenn Geissinger, said this: "Both gentlemen showed class and character. They also freely shared their ideas for making the County better, something you would not expect from ‘opponents’, especially from a different political party. It would have been a pleasure to serve on Council with them. I am hopeful that Glenn and I will be able to call on them during the next four years for insight and help."
What Benol does not say, but what I think he means, is that the election is over and it's time to govern. He's hoping that he can call on Jerry and Ron, and I'm sure he can.

I know that Ron ran because of his love for the county and his concern for the future. I think it is safe to assume that he will be happy to share what he can with anyone. He always has.
ReplyDeleteI do know from some recent conversations, he is very concerned about Human Services and changes coming with a new state grant program he calinms the county is undertaking. Not sure about it but the guy is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to state and county human services.
Even John Brown would benefit from talking to him. I think as Ron got older he is less political and more into what will benefit county residents.
I think John Brown should hire Heckman for the position of human services.
ReplyDeleteI doubt that will happen.
ReplyDeleteNow tests see if the Tea Partier backs it up. I highly doubt it.
ReplyDeleteNo surprise here. These two especially out class any of the candidates from either side. Just my opinion. They are always willing to talk to anyone who will share ideas and thoughts. I really don't see that from the D candidates. Other then the top 2 the rest were a bit arrogant along with Callahan. Got what they earned I suppose. You girl Hunter is too full of herself and no one can see why. She and Callahan and maybe Borso should now all go away. They will never see what others do not see in them.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you saying Bernie? That Brown will tote the Party line and not hire qualified people but fill his cabinet with T-party favorites ?
ReplyDeleteIs this what we have to look forward to?

ReplyDeleteI know that Mr. Brown was capable enough to put together a team that trounced Callahan.
And with Callahan we would have had to face his plan of installing his campaign manager as director of administration. Shades of Michael Solomon/ Reibman.
And that’s something I’m glad I don’t have to look forward to.
A slate belter in the big city without a clue.
ReplyDelete8:34 what I am saying is I don't think Brown will appoint someone to his cabinet who was part of the team that worked to defeat him, and I seriously doubt Ron is looking for a full- time job.
ReplyDeleteBernie, I must say you have some real haters on your blog. Both Ron and Jerry treated these guys with respect. Both have served their county well. Neither guy cried or complained about losing, nor blamed anyone. Both told reporters goiters have the final say. Some real shitty people out there.
ReplyDeleteMr. Brown should shed them as soon as possible. The last thing Brown wants to do is replace the rabid Democratic camp followers with Republican camp followers,. Those people generally don't give a shit about anyone but their ideology.
A lot of eyes will be on Mr. Brown and the new county council. Now comes the hard part.
"voters have the final say"
ReplyDelete"And with Callahan we would have had to face his plan of installing his campaign manager as director of administration"
ReplyDeleteThis is nonsense and character assassination, done anonymously. Callahan might have offered his campaign manager a job, and I would personally liked to have seen that bc Nagy has always been responsive and works around the clock. But i don't think Eric would be working as Director of Administration. Maybe deputy Director. He's been taking a lot of heat over this loss, and it's been very unfair. The people who are doing it, assholes like Geeting, probably think they should have been doing his job. Thank God Geeting was nowhere near Callahan's campaign. This loss is not Eerioc'sfault, and i am sure John callahan would be the first to say so. i have heard nothing but good things about him all along. I will write a piece after seeing the Geeting garbage.
"Bernie, I must say you have some real haters on your blog."
ReplyDeleteIt cones from both parties. Jerry and Ron are two class acts, and what Geissinger and Benol did was worthy of the office they will soon hold.
I hope Jerry and Ron don't buy into the teabaggers.
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to see about Geissinger. It appears, however, that Chuckie the Feckless has fully commandeered his young apprentice Benol.
ReplyDeleteHave no fear, girlyman who screams "bagger" from mommy's basement. Mat will go on to the majors, after a brief stint in development, enjoy many years in office, build fat pension and healthcare, make connections and accomplish much for himself and bupkis for those he will prove to have fooled.
And the beat goes on...
And the beat goes on...

As JFK said in Dallas on the morning of November 22, "we are heading into nut country".
ReplyDeleteClem reminds us that nut country is alive and well in 2013 right here in the LV.
Bernie..please. A reminder to candidate supporters to go take down the signs they put up. I have been doing some clean up work in and around Bangor but there are still signs all over including highway on off ramps and on Rt. 22..Geissinger and Callahan signs still abound among others. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI take down ALL signs I come across..not just the signs of the people I supported.
ReplyDeleteSign companies should take them down and recycle for the next campaign. This is blight, pure and simple.

ReplyDelete1:34 AM"
And, then, he got his head exploded into his wife's lap by a fucking COMMUNIST.
Kennedy would be closer to your "bagger" than Teh Socialist, by a light year.

Like with the Bible, Clem uses only those quotes and actions that support his teabagger principles. he ignores the majority that disputes his extremist views.
