Stoffa Vetoes McClure Madness

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
Sad that Stoffa has no respect for the law!
ReplyDeleteIt is sad that Maclure has no vision!
ReplyDeleteAnd this isn't law yet. Thus the veto.
Override. Lamont's an ass but was and is right on this one.
ReplyDeleteIf McClueless would have done any type of legal research, whatsoever, he would have found out that State law (which by the way, trumps County law) has promulgated and requires some county employees to serve on certain boards, commissions, task forces, etc...
ReplyDeleteHe had no choice as Jennings and Marcus flaunted county law. They are responsible for the lawlessness. Mr. McClure is merely trying to make all play by he same rules, no favorites.
ReplyDeleteAre we a county of laws or of Alan Jennings' hissy fits.
"He had no choice..."
ReplyDeleteYour argument makes no sense. Ross Marcus was wrong. However, two wrongs do not make it right again. McClueless should know (he is a lawyer, right?) that his proposed ordinance cannot stand muster to State law. You cannot correct a situation by another illegal ordinance. It's insane! I feel as if I'm watching the federal shutdown all over again, except in a Northampton County microcosm.
Over at the Save Gracedale club, Ron Shegda is definitely proving why we are so, so lucky that he was NEVER elected to any position. His logic makes no sense and no cents. Thanks be to God that he was never elected!!!
ReplyDeleteThe law is the law! We live in a society of laws, you can't pick and choose which ones to obey.
ReplyDelete"McClure countered that Stoffa could also appoint the district attorney, controller or any county council member to attend authority or board meetings since elected officials are not considered employees. When asked if he would be willing to attend CACLV meetings, McClure said he would if his schedule allowed it."
ReplyDelete4:09, did you wear your seat belt today while you obeyed every single law in the motor vehicle code?
ReplyDeleteYes
DeleteThere's room at Graterford for non compliance
ReplyDeleteWhen asked if he would be willing to attend CACLV meetings, McClure said he would if his schedule allowed it.
ReplyDeleteLamont McClure, quoted off Lehigh Valley Live
He doesn't attend any council committee meetings, but he'll do this?
Yep, sure.
Anon 409pm, before I comment I'm curious, are you a liberal or conservative?
ReplyDeleteDoes it really matter? The laws were written for everyone to abide by.
DeleteClinton oxturd will cut and paste the law for you
ReplyDeleteMarcus was hired by one of his largest vendors to a job that was created for him. You don't find that mildly disconcerting???
