Cartwright: Investigate IRS
“The action of targeting groups based on their political views by the IRS that was uncovered on Friday is an outrageous abuse of power and a breach of the public’s trust. Targeting specific groups in a partisan manner is not only inappropriate but it is not tolerable.
Now the American people rightfully have questions and we must seek all answers. I look forward to reviewing the Treasury Department Inspector General’s report, and believe that the IRS should be prepared for a full investigation into this manner. The IRS is expected to do its job without prejudice and must be held responsible for all inappropriate actions”

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
A low level staffer has apologized and Obama's campaign chief provided a logical rationale about combating 501c3s. Nothing to see here. It's not like it was a two bit hotel burglary.
ReplyDeleteWhen Rs take over, they can use the IRS for their purposes. Elections have consequences. Nobody should be concerned.
Cartwright ? Who is that? Our invisible rep from the north?
ReplyDeleteWe have been targeted frequently not only by NWO liberal globalists but Moderate yo severe RINO's from within, the split will come when the Lone Star State returns to its former glory under the leaderdhip of Theo Cruz.

It seems like the IRS took these measures in response to a huge influx of non-taxable organizations appearing in 2010. It isn't coincidence that the IRS' investigation into the legitimacy of these groups would result in many Tea Party affiliated groups being targeted. Yet, the Right is complaining that they were being 'profiled' by the IRS (who primarily investigated groups with 'Tea Party' and 'Patriot' in their names). I can't see why Republicans would find fault with being profiled, as they've fought tooth and nail for the Federal Government's ability to profile for the last decade. See Patriot Act & Sheriff Joe Arpaio. As always, the Right is cool with stomping out other people's liberties, but once their precious rights are infringed... goodness me, something must be done!!
ReplyDeleteAgree. They'll get their chance to use the IRS their way. Elections have consequences. Most will agree that extremism in defense of the Tea Party is no vice. Rules were made to be broken when it comes to nuts like them.

This is exactly what should happen in allentown pa since the appointment of the present mayor. A recount of all monies the local administration has allocated under stricked federal regulations and any conflicts that may have resulted because of the ignorance in federal rules. Local officials are suppose to enforce federal laws according the laws of such allowcations. NOT
ReplyDeleteDear 4:56 Administration Apologist -
ReplyDeleteWake up!
Israel-related organizations were also targeted by the IRS. Today we learned the Justice Department has been secretly obtaining two months of phone records for Associated Press reporters and editors.
This Administration has an enemies list and is using the federal government for unlawful purposes. They're making Nixon look good.
What do you expect from a Marxist Islamic Kenyan?
ReplyDeleteIt's funny that The admiistration was spying on AP. Obama knows he owns the media and they're powerless to do anything about it.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a bad week for the Obama government. Not only the IRS issue, but several scandals are in need of investigation.
ReplyDeleteThe IRS abuse is Nixonian or worse.
The Bengahzi affair is either a coverup or pure incompetance. At a minimum O's press agent is proven to be lying almost every time he is in front of the camera.
The Secry of HHS is at least appearing to illegally abuse her power to raise money for O-care promotions.
And today the DOJ has been identified in a secret phone records hunt against the Associated Press.
All this is more than troubling it's scary. People just don't trust government.Alot of this goes to the tone set by ERIC HOLDER. As the atty general he's a total poltical operative. Get him out!!
It's time to investigate Cartwright. We already have Bernie's phone records. Remember, Capone wasn't brought down until he ran into tax trouble. Watch your ass. You're starting to piss us off.
