Simao Resigns as NorCo GOP Treasurer

Treasurer Resignation Letter, Tony Simao, NorCo GOP

As a point of clarification, I should note that I attended a meeting of the NorCo GOP at the Northampton County Courthouse. That is the people's building, and I needed no invitation from anyone. Chairman Robert Kerr stated I was welcome, but now I see Simao whining about it.

  1. Gee Bernie you went to one meeting now your the problem. See how they continue to blame everyone else.

It was only a matter of time before the moderate/leftist R's in our party started adopting Alinsky type tactics as they have helped the Democrats nominally in the past two election cycles.

Read between the lines, the spineless cretins that tried to have Tony repudiate Mezzacappa had it blow up on them, not only did he refuse but he made a bold statement by resigning. There is a great schism in the Republican party and it is time to make a clean break. I urge all those dissatisfied R's to attend the next 9-12 project meeting (open to bottom feeding boogers) at the Chrin Community Center, Friday May 3 at 6:30 PM. At this meeting we will look at the very real possibility of forming something brand new and separate.

  4. Dear Tony,

No one cares about this inside baseball bullshit. Go back to middle school.

  5. Bernie, you went to ONE meeting yet reported on many meetings before that so its pretty obvious your stories are biased. I was in the audience at the courthouse and the only screaming and "dictator" behavior was from Ron Angle and Gloria "Lee" snover.. I also heard you yelling too. Why were you yelling? Do you know why? How could you be upset..youre a democrat! Out of all the yelling it wasnt even clear WHAT anyone was yelling about. The Tea Party extremist views havent gotten anyone voted in on the R side so they can have their elitist views and see how far it goes here in northampton county.

  6. I am guessing this is what is happeneing that Bernie won't tell you. Some members of the executive committee wanted to have that group sign a letter bashing Mezzacappa. When some on the committee refused to do so and let the voting process play out they basically threatened and pushed Simao to this.

I will say this though. Saul Alinsky gets a bad rap. You hell now his tactics are being blamed from problems with the local GOP.

The poor guy can't catch a break.

  7. Actually, what I am told is that the Executive Committee last Saturday voted to repudiate Mezzacappa, reinstated Monahan, and clipped Kerr's wings. He was directed to send a letter repudiating Mezzacappa, and refused.

  8. 1:13, I began to yell when Kerr gave his own speech, but would not let anyone else talk. What really got me was when he smeared Peg Ferraro. I don't like meetings in which the masses are told what to do. Nor do most Republicans or Democrats.

  9. It's ugly, but they're airing their laundry and cleansing from within.

Meanwhile, convict Brennan continues to collect a check from Democrats.

Bernie has not been heard yelling about that.

  10. These country club R's must not feel like they have won yet. They keep on attacking the man even after he stepped out of their way.

    Classy!

  11. Convict Brennan, as you call him, was publicly humiliated, withdrew his candidacy, was just released from jail a few days ago, and is trying his hardest to get his life back together. Hr is being paid by the Democratic Party to work for them, not the people. You are free to bring up his past should he choose to seek office again. I will take an admitted drunk over the may others who pull strings to escape responsibility.

  12. Ron Angle should be appointed the next Treasurer. He is so very good at financial items especially wills and the like.

  13. Please, oh please, Tea Party Footsoldier start another Party. You guys are great!
Before the teabaggers the Republican Party was a stuffy mix of country club types like Ferraro and lunatics like Angle.
Now you have an entire party of paranoid fruitcakes. You guys are the best.

We hear Obama may visit one of your meetings. I hope people have their smelling salts.

  16. If you were at the meeting of Republicans as a Blogger, how do you get to enter into any discussions. You should have kept your mouth shut. You aren't an "R" and therefor had no right to debate or to discuss anything at a Republican meeting. Go to a Dem meeting if you want to talk party politics. OOPS, I forgot, they don't want you either.

The 9-12 party meeting on 5/3 is open to the public and people of all different political persuasions may speak. We have a big tent and feel like the current system produces a "sausage" effect whereby dissatisfied R'/D's have nowhere to go other than right or left.

The 9-12 project is about to lance that bloated rancid sausage with a pitchfork creating exits for those fed up with the status quo malarkey. The size of our spear relative to the grotesque girth of this "political kielbasa" may be small, but as the intrepid stampeded thru the punctured casing they will widen those openings and serve as the catalyst for those sitting on the fence to make a move.
It may take decades but the Tea Party will cannibalize this bicephalous ogre giving rise to a new era in American politics.

  22. WOW

Now you are accusing the man of stealing when every penny is accounted for! What a bunch of classless shameless cowards.

I bet Tony is glad to get the heck out. If this is how you treat volunteers then it is no wonder the NCRC was and will once again be a joke.

  34. His boyfriend bowed out of the judge's race per the Easton newspaper. Look at the article citing Kerr and Simao stepping down. It said that Carrol stepped out of the race. No reason given.

  35. I believe the article said that Tom stepped down from his party office.
