Mezzacappa Candidacy Condemned in GOP LTE

Ben Miller, a Republican, is "embarrassed to be affiliated with certain members of our party and their inappropriate actions — specifically, county council candidate Tricia Mezzacappa and Ronnie DelBacco, who are making fools of themselves as they attempt to cause problems for Republicans such as Peg Ferraro, who has served the county for many years."

  1. Wow, a Republican in this debate willing to use their REAL NAME...how refreshing!

  2. Actually, acting Chair Craig DeFranco, who has condemned Mezzacappa publicly, is using his real name. So is Ron Angle. So are several other Rs.

  3. So is "David Jones." LOL

  4. Ben Miller is a straight shooter and a great guy, a college fraternity brother of mine. He is also an accomplished writer and veteran. His word is golden.

Thank you for rallying her base O'Hare, all this press is stoking the engine deep in the bowels of the Mezzacappa Express. It's gaining speed and as we all know inertia is a powerful force, in a few weeks it will be akin to a stampeding Rhinoceros galloping across the savannah, equal parts beauty and raw aggression.

    Onward Tea Party Footsoldier,
Please continue to destroy the whole Republican slate for November.

  7. You are extremely dilusional. If by her base you mean the 6 or 7 members of her mental health recovery group, then that's a real scary thought.

  9. To the two people pretneding to be many. Trishia will win in May. Now that Ron Angle and Bernie o'Hare condemn her, her nomination is assurred.

Her fight for her second amendment rights shows her strength. The hateful and liberal efforts to take them away, show she is the fighter the Republcans need.

  10. Say it loud, say it often.

Not only will her candicacy help democrats...she campaigns like them too.

  11. Your biggest Democrat is Peg Ferraro, Ms. Mezzacappa is a true Tea Party candidate. One of the few. Your choice, County Club Republican or Tea Party Republican.

  12. How 'bout, thinking Republicans vs. wingnuts?

As I have asked, name one decent Republican who has endorsed Tricia Mezzacappa. She has actually had to impersonate someone to deceive people into thinking she has support. People will not support a racist who throws the "N" word around, who fantasizes about putting "hollow point" bullets through people skulls, who threatens to drag an elected official to the river and drown her, and who uses the language and graphics she uses on her hate blog.

  14. Can't help but notice all her "supporters" seem to type in the same format and say the same thing from anonymous accounts. It's as if they are all the same person....... hmmm.

  15. "deep in the bowels of Mezzacappa"? I just threw up in my mouth.

  16. Even the COAF over at their Save Gracedale blog came out in support of Peg Ferraro. Everyone seems to be distancing themselves away from Mezacappa. This is truly ground-breaking!

I wonder what Mezzacappa's response to the COAF's lack of endorsement of her candidacy might be?

  17. Thank you for the kind words, Bernie. I stand behind everything I wrote in my letter. I agree with you that it's rather telling there are many people speaking out against Mezzacappa publicly, while there is nobody willing to put their reputations on the line and support her.

With regards to my current comments and letter, well, they were prompted by the coward using the David Jones fake email. I hadn't been active in the party since I moved out of Northampton County in 2006 (I've since moved back with my family, but have remained inactive due to some medical issues). When I read that email and saw the sheer cowardice of someone hiding behind the veil of anonymity and casting stones at others who I know to be good people and loyal public servants, it drove me to action.

Having an R behind one's name does not give them the right to act or speak inappropriately and still get the party's support. If that were the case, I would immediately leave the party. I am a Republican, but my ultimate goal is a responsible government with serious leaders who act prudently and are accountable for their decisions. I don't blindly support anybody, simply because they are a Republican and certainly not someone who hides in the bushes and snipes at others.

Ms. Mezzacappa clearly has nothing of substance to offer. Instead of presenting ideas on how to address the county's problems and sharing her position on specific issues, she spends her times criticizing the ideas put forth by others and insulting them on a personal level. The reason she does this is because she has no ideas and no discernible platform on which to run. That is not the mark of a leader, it's the mark of someone who is running to add another line to their resume and likes to see their name in the paper.

  18. Not sure why my name shows up as "Unknown" but this is Ben Miller. I stand behind my statements.

And thank you for those kind comments earlier!

  19. She voted for Obama. "She" has an Adam's Apple. She cavorts with swine and is in court more often than any 10 Obamaphone users. She hates cops and doesn't respect authority. She's rude and inconsiderate.

    Forget labels. She's all Democrat.

  20. Thanks for speaking out Ben. I hope other responsible Republicans follow your lead.

  22. Great job , Ben. You hit the nail, directly on the head. Mezzacappa & Delbacco are complete nuts. Neither will EVER get elected to any position and both should be committed!

@7:03 your mockery of mental illness shows a typical liberal willingness to abandon the "PC" lifestyle attack "soft targets" to disparage an opponent. Please come to the upcoming 9-12 project meeting at the Charles Chrin Community Center and meet the fine people you so crudely paint as mental patients, you will be pleasantly surprised by the compassion they show towards all Americans.

There will come a time when the Tea Party bridges the gap between left & right to form a new coalition stronger than any third party has in past history. Mezzacappa may be polarizing due to sensational news coverage of her recent legal matters but make no mistake she has a lot of grey matter and if elected will employ it to restructure the fabric of our political system.

Lighten up and try not to be a typical sullen humorless progressive. Laughing's free. It should be right up your alley.
