Meet the NorCo Corrections Officers Color Guard

Northampton County's Corrections Officer Color Guard was a big hit at today's dedication of the new Archive building, located in Forks Township. They added an air of dignity to the occasion, and made every Northampton County resident feel just a little bit more proud. After they were done, Sheriff Randy Miller admitted he's a little jealous of the fine job done by jail's finest.

I first saw this Color Guard last year, when the West Easton Treatment Center was dedicated. They've been at it for about two years.

I'll have more about the archives' dedication later. Some great speeches. Some people who should be ashamed of themselves.

  1. Please don't tell me that someone came to the showing to get up and say something bad about the county government or Stoffa.

  2. No, I am referring to Glenn Reibman, who destroyed the best archives facility in the state, and Lamont McClure, who voted against this. They should both be ashamed. I will have more later. I need some down time.

  3. Down Time? Really?

  4. RMM just dropped a declaration of WAR making known his MARINE background and indicating you put hands on him recently. Im sure youll have a blog about the situation but shit just got real with the fake rev and if he ever tries to get froggy just fall back on your training at Tiger Schulmans and know technique beats size!

  5. Tommy,

Frankly, I have no idea what the hell he is talking about. He certainly implies that he and I had some recent physical altercation, but I have no memory of it and he hasn't shown for a Council meeting in at least the last six weeks. There was an incident a few years ago, but I don't remember whether it was with the Fake Rev or D'Alessandro. Apparently, he wants me to take a swing at him or something so he can love me "to death."

    Cuckoo.

It's no surprise that he'd resort to threats of physical violence. He's a phony, just as I have said.

  6. I just checked my records. In late 2010 or early 2011, Martinez was upset that I called him a phony during a Council meeting. After the meeting was over, he blocked a doorway, wagged his smelly little finger in my face and yelled that I was lucky he was a Man of God. While squeezing by him, there may have been some incidental contact, the kind you have when you bump into someone accidentally. He did later claim I assaulted him. That claim, of course, is false.

  7. Most probably take your version of events at face value, despite being a miserable "miscreant" you are usually forthrite. Maybe RMM's blog was hijacked because that venom is beyond his usual form. Looking forward to his post about the sealed non emergency transport bid on our gracedale contract, he will acuse Stoffa of treason!

  8. Great group of dedicated men in that Honor Corps. And Lamont didn`t even have to vote against them.

  9. Hey Bernie, why no comment on the COAF devoting a huge posting of their endorsement of your buddy Jerry Seyfried. Seyfried stated that the Stoffa Adminstration was the problem at Gracedale, not the union and not the COAF.

You have attacked others for being "too close" to the COAF but you won't make a peep about your mancrush Seyfried taking a cheap shot at Stoffa.

  10. Do you really think I would accept the Fake Rev's word about anything? I know Jerry opposed the sale of Gracedale and I know why. he and I discussed it many times, and at the end of the day, we could still shake hands. Those folks are just haters.

  11. They have a tape of him saying that Stoffa was the problem. No ducking or twisting the truth on this one Bernie. Your mancrush got the supprt that you have mocked other candidates about. All the while he is part of the Callahan clan.

You won't call him on it, because it would make you look like a fool.

    The truth wins out.

  12. I see why the Fake Rev is so upset. Tommy Chong, whom he makes reference to at the end of the latest post by asking Bernie to tell Tommy that I say hi, was getting the best of him in one of the threads. That piece is no pooF! Gone!!! I guess he doesn't like the truth coming out even on his own blog?

  13. 12:19 seems to think that if I disagree with someone about one thing, I must fight against that person. Jerry has been entirely honest with me about his opposition to Gracedale and the reason for it, and I respect him enough to still think he is the best of all candidates out there. The same must be said of Ron Heckman, who likely supports Reibman. I respect and admire these guys bc they are both dedicated and driven by a desire to do the right thing. They do not hate or vilify peple who disagree with them. And I don't give a shit what you have on tape.

  14. Jerry like to spend others' money and take credit for it. He's a perfect candidate for the fake rev and coafers.

Did the Fake Rev delete the entire thread or just a series of comments? I do look a his blog since i am a frequent topic of the hatred, but missed the exchange.

  16. Jerry always has liked to take credit for the things other people did. Just read his latest campaign sheet.

  17. It looks like someone is jealous or envious of someones campaign literature because they have no record of accomplishments or a record to run on. What in Reibmans mailers are false? What in Seyfried's mailers are false? What in Callagahans mailers are false? What in McClures mailers are false? Let's get specific here. These are the four candidates whose names appear on this Blog all the time. Please expose these items you refer to so we can all be enlightened. Talk is cheap and as is the rule by some on this blog, usually quite ridiculous.

  18. Nice to see this honor guard practices and makes appearances at events. Sheriff Miller should be proud of this group. He spent close to $500 per man for his group that has not performed for over a year. ALL SHOW, NO GO BABY!!! Keep wasting taxpayers money to pad your resume.

  19. The corrections officers and Sheriff might consider combining with a "Northampton County Color Guard" made up of both Deputies and corrections officers. What do you think?

The corrections officers are magnificent as a color guard, and the bagpipe is a real nice touch.

  20. Just wanted to let the taxpayers know that the cost of the Prison Honor Guard Equipment was split between the Prison and the Corrections Officers Union. The M1Garand rifles were aquired from the US Army Civilian Marksmanship Program, which awards honor guards these rifles to qualified law enforcement and veterans groups. The bagpiper is using his own purchased bagpipes for the group. Just wanted to shed a bit of light on the group from the prison, compared to the shriffs office.

  22. To the comment of Merging the two Honor Guard Departments -

I can only speak for myself and that is that I am NOT in favor of merging them.

As it was previously noted, where and when has the Sheriff Dept. been seen? Who will do "the work" vs. who will get the recognition? I recall the funeral services for Magistrate Elwell. Who arrived to pay Honor in her Passing? The D.O.C. Honor Guard was there and I, of all of us, didn't even know her...but I respected her Public position and her service to this community. Where was the Sheriff's Department...or Easton Police for that matter? Rumor has it that E.P.D. showed up at the cemetary, but only after the Mayor saw us...EPD nowhere to be seen...and he made a 'phone call.'

I do this because I want to do it...not so I can make someone else "look good"...nor am i about to do all the work and let someone else take the credit.

This is a "for us by us" situation that should not be diminished by some effort to "consolodate."

Each Department has their Honor Guard. Let them remain as such.

  23. If you honored Gay Elwell, I really have to take my hat off to you.
