Criminal Harassment Prosecution Against Mezzacappa Approved

Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli has approved a private criminal complaint against GOP County Council and West Easton Borough Council candidate Tricia Mezzacappa. These charges stem from her online impersonations of West Easton resident Matthew Dees, a former borough council candidate. After asking her to stop, she poured it on even more.

This is the second time in recent months that Mezzacappa has faced criminal charges. In November, District Judge Richard Yetter fined her $200 after convicting her of disorderly conduct for an episode in which she barged into West Easton Borough offices, threatening to drag its Borough Council President to the river to drown her.

Offices are now locked, and residents have to ring a bell for admission.

  4. I feel sorry for her too. It really looks like she has mental demons to deal with, and unfortunately the blog mentor, RMM and the Gracedale goons aren't helping, in fact I think they're hurting her even more.

I'm with Bernie on how he's dealing with it as he has to protect himself, but that doesn't preclude sympathy for a very troubled person.

  5. I feel sorry for those she has victimized. Kelly Gross, atty Orloski, and especially Matt Dees. What she is doing to Mr. Dees is criminal and she should be punished! When will she just move back to Jersey?

Pray the devil back to Jersey!!

  6. FYI - The disorderly conduct incident was investigated by the Easton police, who took statements from three witnesses. One witness told the police he heard Tricia Mezzacappa threaten to "kill" the West Easton Borough council president. This threat occurred on a public street. Two other witnesses told the police they heard Mezzacappa threaten to "punch" the Borough's lawyer and also heard her threaten to "drown" the council president. These threats occurred inside the Borough Hall, and included shouting and cursing, according to the witnesses. The threats to "kill...punch...drown" were made in August 2012, two months after the County Sheriff issued Mezzacappa a license to carry a concealed firearm. She was convicted of disorderly conduct in November and ordered to pay a fine, despite being represented by defense attorney Phil Lauer. Instead of expressing remorse, Mezzacappa later wrote on her blog that the fine would have been worth it if she could have "cracked" the council president in the mouth.

There's also the matter of a "gun power" video she posted on her blog multiple times, containing indirect threats of violence against her local government. Mezzacappa deliberately chose the following song lyrics to accompany her gun video, which ends with a picture of the West Easton Borough Hall: "You better run, better run, outrun my gun...you better run, better run, faster than my bullet."

This is the same woman who stated in a public court filing that she is taking "potent" controlled substances (she also calls it a "drug cocktail") for a mental disorder.

Is it any wonder that the door of the West Easton Borough Hall is kept locked?

  9. This is more proof of Pareto's Principle. 20% of knuckleheads create 80% if the court system's work. I've been in court one time in 60 years. The 20% are in court once a month. It's time to raise court costs and institute public flogging for frequent litigious flyers. It's getting to be regoddamdiculous.

Matthew Dees got lambasted on the WEFP's latest blog(author "Doug Camaro"), it was actually quite humorous since I had thought about attending the council meeting ( I live in Scranton). Her writing is excellent I'll give you a sample,

"In the back sat blogger Bernie O'Hare who always looks so clean and professional (cough). It seems he has one outfit these days, because his rapid weight loss has turned the other way ferociously. The rapid weight gain has started, and it seems he is in between wardrobes ...his ass is a little too big for his new clothes, but he doesnt quite fit into his old wardrobe of 500lbs and counting. Anywhoo, he set up shop in the back, which is the only area West Easton Borough allows filming."

Her description of Dees is pure gold,

    "
One taxpayer, Matthew Dees, who recently vanished from the ballot under some very strange circumstances, took the podium with some serious wind in his pipes. Dont get confused....not biceps. He looks like a cross between an oompalumpa and some type of mooshy sea creature. Dees had a typed manifesto of hate in hand directed at Mezzacaoppa, a woman whom he has spoken to"

  11. Bernie if you were there with a video camera it needs to go up on your channel, both the Dee's tirade and Ms Mezzacappa's cool as a cucumber response.

  12. Anonymous 9:31 AM is not Bernie O'Hare. Regardless, every word of that comment is true. Mezzacappa has left a voluminous paper trail in her wake, and she is stuck with it. I didn't even get into the racist comments she made about her neighbors. Its all documented in police reports and on her disgusting blog.

  13. Can't wait to see the handcuffs put on this low-life. Sue her Mr Dees. Take her house and her computer. She is a snake. Every negative word in the dictionary can be applied to it.

  14. Actually, I only post under my own nam. The comment at 9:31 AM was not penned by me. At that time, I was sitting in a Lehigh County courtroom for the Kimberly Velez hearing.

But the statement at 9:31 is right on the money and I endorse it and would happily sign my name to it had I written it.

I'll have to look that one up.

  16. 12:38, I have video, but it is of people from the rear. Not the best way. Also, Mezzacappa was out of hand at the meeting. She repeatedly interrupted people, although she did walk out of there. And like most rude people,, she forced them to listen to hear, but did not stick around to hear what they had to say. The right to speak includes an obligation to listen.

  17. No it doesn't. If that were the case you would have hammered Ron Angle, bullshiter!
