Bethlehem's Fourth Citizens' Academy Kicks off Today

Bethlehem's fourth Citizens’ Academy starts tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the Town Hall (rotunda) at 10 East Church Street, Bethlehem, PA, 18018. Mayor John Callahan will welcome the class, slated to last 11 weeks, with an overview of City Government. If time permits, he'll show off a few wrestling holds, too.

This Citizens’ Academy has receive rave reviews from those who've attended, and has led to the creation of a Citizens' Academy in Northampton County as well. Christen Borso and Deb hunter, two of that class' inaugural members, are now ruunning for County Council.

On-line registration for the spring session was announced in early March. Twenty participants have pre-registered for the 2013 Citizens’ Academy course.

  1. These acadamies both city and now county, are just PR machines for Administrations to brainwash potential pols into "their" way of thinking.
