Even More Democrats Running for NorCo Council

Kerry Myers
Yesterday, in NorCo Council Candidates Like Dandelions, I identified 13 Democrats and 6 Republicans who have expressed an interest in the five at-large County Council seats up for grabs this year. I have since learned of two more Democrats who have said they are definitely in the hunt.

Kerry Myers.- You might know him as a former President of Easton's School Board, and one who was honored by the Easton chapter of the NAACP in 2010. I know him as a softball ump.

Thomas O'Donnell - This former Chairman of the Lower Nazareth Supervisors was fired as a state auditor in 1988 for conducting Township business on the state's dime. He appealed that ruling, and it's unclear to me how that matter ended. O'Donnell was an unsuccessful County Council candidate in 2001.

Bill its truly awesome how you get pusillanimous blog authors, narcissistic youtube channel owners and cyber stalker forgers of faux email addresses used for criminal harrassm, ent and impersonation to eventually shit their pants and poof themselves. keep up the excellent work!

  3. Anyone in the Easton School District's tax zone knows of Kerry Myers. Under his watch, caused some of the most drastic deficit spending ever. He, Roy Cortez, and Pat Fisher are the main reasons for teacher cuts and the problems that the Easton School District are having now. They wrote checks that could have been paid for then and the District constituents are paying for it now. This is not the kind of man that one would want in a county council seat.

He is a great person and softball umpire. He is just not good for the school board and probably the county council.

  4. Agree. Hold onto your wallets. EASD won't soon recover from the mess he left. I know lots of nice guys who can't do math or manage money. Fiscally, he's a train wreck.

  15. And I think anyone on Reibmans side just has to look at his record. We will be telling it often, no worries about it getting lost in the shuffle. Our finance report will be out soon....first pass makes it obvious who is in the best position to get their message to the people.

The most interesting thing is Mr Fleck thinking he is some sort of kingmaker playing in the executive race as well as the mayoral (donchez). Maybe he should stay in Lehigh county for awhile

  16. It's amazing that we have so many D's running. Where, how, and from who are these candidates going to be able to raise any money to run a campaign? None of them will be able to raise money. They are unknowns or washed up politicos. You need money to get your message across. This blog won't be sufficent.

  17. Those are just the ones I know about. But I like the exerts trying to discourage people from running.

  18. Hey Seamus, Mr. Callahan has a record and oh I assure you that it will be told to the people of Northampton County. In fact all the old Dent mailers are great and that was before he raised taxes and tried to privatize the garbage.

Oh yes, Mr. Callahan will find that the arrogance of his lttle Bethlehem Kingdom will be schattered in the big old county.

  19. Yes anon, mayor Callahan has a record. One that shows him leading Bethlehem through the greats recession while reducing debt and deficits. While delivering better city services with the smallest workforce.

As much as you would like to tag him as a tax and spender Fleck, That dog don't hunt, it would be hilarious having a 70% tax hike generator (who did nothing to fix the basil issue) try to speak on taxes and budgets Read the press a bit. I have literally dozens of such articles already and just began scanning. You dig up pictures of Reibman and a few Dem leaders and think it means anything...lol!!!

    I'll take this : Bethlehem Ends 2012 with 1 Million in bank - http://www.mcall.com/news/local/bethlehem/mc-bethlehem-positive-cash-balance-20130115,0,3397446.story

Over this: any day (2nd year in a row I might add) reibman proposes 37.5% tax increase -

  20. And please take the time to enjoy the state of the city address thats coming up. It will show how Bethlehem's story of creating jobs and growth continues.

Northampton county deserves the opportunity to move forward not back into the dark days. Each town has its own story and needs, we need someone listening to the uniqueness of the communities in order to help them reach their full potential

  21. Why isn't Heckman runing for County Executive? If I had my druthers, I would Druther vote for Heckman than Reibman or Callaghan. Word is Seyfried is definetly out but will run for Council. That leaves the lesser of all evils which is McClure. Sorry Bernie, I would rather vote for McClure than the Tax increase fanatics Reibman and Callagahan.

  22. Oh I forgot one thing. I will not vote for any of these Democrats in the fall. I will vote Republican.

    ReplyDelete
  23. You are going to vote Republican? Are you going to vote for Tricia, Tricia?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Sorry Semus, no one will give Callahan a pass. From favorabloe treatment of relatioves to shoddy finances, his record is fair game. Many on Behtlehem won't even vote ot him.

You keep looking up those rcords. with all the old Dent mailers on hand, his anti-labort stance plus the latest blunders by little Johnnycakes, the voters will be well informed.

  25. If I had a casino in my backyard..I'd be able to bank a million without even rolling out of bed! Johnny Casino may be cute but it ends right there. Bethlehem can't wait to kick him to the curb. He has had ample time to really pad his stats and he failed to do so. He will win without breaking a sweat..he's cute.

  26. I hope he hires some new aides once he gets in Stoffas seat. He should have an easy go with the current council..at least in the short term.
