Gracedale Show Online

There we were. Ron Angle and yours truly, the forces of goodness and light. We were pitted against the forces of darkness and evil, which consist of Steelworkers' Union Prez Gerry Greene, former County Exec Jerry Seyfried and former State Rep. and County Council member Rich Grucela. The topic was Gracedale. Ron Angle and I advocated selling the County-owned nursing home. Gerry, Jerry and Rich advocated selling us.

No buyers could be found.

This debate, which took place on WFMZ-TV69's Business Matters and aired last night, is now available online.

All kidding aside, Gracedale had some forceful advocates.

  1. Good grief! Amateur night at its finest. Bernie, you were stumbling and fumbling around. A poor performance. Even Jerry Green made more sense than you. The two dinosaurs Seyfried and Grucela wanted to bring back the good old days when they showered money on Gracedale employees while merrily raising taxes on the county's senior homeowners on fixed incomes. Seyfried demonstrated that he is ready for Gracedale's dementia unit with his convoluted cookie analogy. And it was nauseating to listen to that public pension parasite Grucela call Seyfried "progressive." The absurdity of him, Seyfried and others conducting an impartial study of Gracedale's operations in lieu of professionals with expertise in dozens of public and private nursing homes only proved Grucela's arrogance. The only shining star on that stage was Angle. He eviscerated the relic politicians "Screw the Taxpayers" Grucela and Jerry "Get a Clue" Seyfried. This was a Gracedale zombie beat-down. Now Rich should join Jerry in the woods to hunt crow for dinner.

  2. Hey, I was called the voice of reason. I was called something.

  3. Anonymous 11:02 are you kidding... Grucela's arrogance.. how about Ron, not letting anyone talk.. he was talking over everyone.. he just likes to hear his own voice. He is the most arrogant person I know...

  4. has been talking head fools trying to out shot other washed up talking head fools about a mute point. all of this led by an inapt big mouthed immigrant who should be discussing more important issues in the valley

bottom line is sell the white elephant, rid the county of the greedy union pukes and let real people run the old folks home.

By the way BO - you were grossly over dressed.

  5. Grucela talked over Angle as well and bragged about how Ron belonged in the "minor leagues" next to his divine debating skills. Whatever respect I had for Grucela as a state rep is out the window with the arrogant disregard for taxpayers that he displayed on this program. He bragged about voting for tax increases when he was in office. And yet he really didn't do anything to help Gracedale while he was in Harrisburg. It is no wonder why Norco is regarded to be Lehigh's hand-me-down sibling with morons like this held in such high regard by its voters.

  6. Ron Angle picked up were he left off, using ass clown slogans instead of facts. He is an old hateful egomaniac that continued to lie.

He may be Tony Ianelli's favorite bigoioted anti-semite but he has no facts.

Since most of the people working at Gracedale make so little, the benefits they receive are of course a higher proportion of compensation. I have an idea, why not have Stoffa and his six figure salary Cabinet heads give up their benefits? You see they get the same benefits but because they are grossly overpaid based on performance, the percentages aren't as dramatic, although the same. The old percentages game or smoke ansd mirrors you guys tried before and failed.

The detailed explanation doesn't fit the dumbed down teabagger cookie cutter way of doiing things. What you end up wiht is Angle just doing what he does best, moving his lips saying how he loves taxpayers and the private sector will save everyone.

Love that tea. Beats reality anytime.

The voters are stupid according to O'Hare and Angle, they were "snoockered". The voters understood just fine and voted accordingly on Gracedale and Angle. At the end of the day the governemnt belongs to the voters not an arrogant egomaniac and his faithful pig klicking yes man companion.

  7. Thank you 12:45, all true. Time for your midnight martini O'Hare.

The voters sniffed you and Angle out and you are both no longer relevent to the issue of Gracedale.

  8. Seyfried's analogy of the cookie monster is right on target. He stole that analogy though. It isn't an original but it was right on target. The County is in existence for one reason and one reason only. That is to provide Human Services to their residents. Gracedale is a human Service. Can some one show me when "Human Services" made money for the County. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Does Human Services make money for the Federal Government? Does it make money money for the State Government? No Human Service program makes money for any branch of the Government. The people of Northampton County have spoken. They said "we will pay the bill for Northampton County to run Gracedale for five years." Get over it already. Five years isn't up. After the moratorium let's revisit the issue and see where we stand. Where is the outcry from some of your idiot readers about the misuse of County monies in the swaption?

  9. I watched the show last night and I have come to the conclusion that I will not watch anymore of these shows. Talk about misrepresentation and a "ship of fools". There was nothing educational about this show and absolutely no new information for the viewers to digest. Was it entertaining? NO. Was it a plus for Unions? I think the Unions won here.

  10. Bernie your appearance did not go over too well with the Lehigh Valley's premier blogger, here is her scathing review!

"Hopefully, they will be safe and happy in Newtown, and not be subjected to kicking and poisioning, as was done to my Earl by an extremely disturbed sadist in Nazareth, PA (who incidentally just made a jackass out of himself on Business Matters, alongside ousted ex-Councilman Ron Angle. One looked like he just got out of a concentration camp, dressed in clothes that he ravaged from the Salvation Army bins, and the other looked like a bloated walrus full of hot air and no facts...maybe they're running out of cash)" - WestEastonFootPrint

  11. Every time she republishes her defamatory remarks abut kicking or poisoning her pig, she just demonstrates more malice.

  12. Hokie Joe, So providing a nursing home is a core county function? If that is so, why is it that so many counties do not have one?

  13. The Fake Rev, Mario Martinez of Forks Tp, has insisted several times now that the Gracedale show is unavailable for online viewing.

"BM is not allowing view of the show online. These people are all corrupt."

    * * *

"Yeah, try going to BM on line, you can't watch the episode on line. Ianelli is losing the trust of his viewers. He is just as bad as angle."

"OHARE IS LIEING ON HIS BLOG ABOUT HOW YOU CAN SEE THE BUSINESS MATTERS SHOW ON LINE BUT THE SHOW HE IS TALKING ABOUT IS NOT AVAILAIBL EVEN THOUGH IT AIRED TWO DAYS AGO."

What the phony preacher is hoping is that, if he repeats a lie often enough, people will believe it.

I have linked to the broadcast which is online and can be viewed.

  14. Grucela came off as very mean spirited. Perhaps it's the food fight forum. But Grucela betrayed the kind of contempt for constituents that many suspected as he compiled another pension. What a leech on the productive. No wonder he's apparently bitter. Hes never contributed anything and has taken quite a lot during his life. Politicians suck.

  15. A "core function" of county government is what the citizens of the county want it to be. Most counties have very small nursing homes and not one of the largest in the sate. As of today, no one trusts the numbhers from the Stoffa adminstration. Stoffa has shown himself to be a self serving liar and is no longer trusted. A new Administration and council will take an honest look at the issue and give people the "real" details.

The show was designed for slogans and thoughtful discussion. That is obvious when the prime guest is a bigoted anti-semite.

    ReplyDelete
  16. "not" thoughtful discussion.

  17. It is real simple. Counties have no business being in the nursing home business. It is just a big fat bloated union patronage cesspool and Ron Angle and Bernie will be proven right.

Is there such a thing as an unbigoted anti-Semite?

    Geez. Some people ...

  19. This is what Iannelli, who has no credidability, does best..stir up the natives. It was not supposed to be a civil debate and..we are only one year into the no sale era. Relax people and let it play out. Lots of wind and thunder..but little actual precipitation. It does appear that Premier is doing a better job than the previous directors.

  20. Some anti-semites aren't also condemend by the NAACP, your buddy scored on both counts.

  21. You folks need new material. Your constant personal (and anonymous) condemnations of Angle are getting old. And when you lie, as you did about the show not being up online, you should tell one that is not so easily refuted. Now carry on with your little hate fest.

  22. "Grucela came off as very mean spirited."

Rich and Ron mixed it up a bit, but I'm not seeing it. He's a very good man who cared deeply about his constituents, and I wish he were still in office.

  23. Grucela really did turn me off. He appeared as a bully. I am an Angle supporter and never was embarrassed by Angle. But I was quite upset with Grucela. I was actually embarrassed for Grucela, himself. He appeared mean-spirited. You can get your point across without being personal or a typical politician. He lost a lot of my trust. If he ever ran for anything, again; I wouldn't vote for him.

  24. sounds like you guys had fun at the county's expense. Sure something needs to be done, but acting like clowns in a three ring circus wont help Gracedale. it's sounds as though you guys wanted to see who had the bigger mouth. Guess you all have ideas that need help, selling gracedale is not an option at this time. now sit down and listen to each other and maybe a good idea might surface. Syre the Stoffa administration needs to be attended to big time, but concentrate on gracedale. Let the voters work on the stoffa staff, wecan handle them. If I were you guysi would want to know why somenurses made triple figures last year. Then look at hiring more nurses and nurses aides for less. It's up to the county to help create jobs instead of getting rid of jobs in the county. There is alot of arguments for gracedale good and bad. You just have to listen.

WOW....An Angle "supporter" that was turned off my a "mean-spirited bully" Now that is something I never thought I would hear.

Please do me a favor and read your post. Really, Grucela did nothing that Angle hasn't done. In fact, Grucela brought facts to the debate, and Angle brought 68%. In fact, it appeared as though 68% was all Angle brought.

Angle attempted to bully Grucela, but he was not having it, which I guess in your mind made Grucela the "bully."

It kinda of makes sense. You boy got beat at his own game, therefore the other guy is the bully. If that's what makes you sleep at night, enjoy!!

  26. Anon 12:17, I caught that as well. I alsmost did a "spit take" on my computer. How in the world can anyone who claims to admire
Ron Angle ever, ever complain about someone being "too mean". Good Lord, "mean spiritied" is Angles middle name. The guy does it so much, most people no longer even notice it.

The guy is a true sociopath and has no real sense of conscience.

Angle has always and will forever be concenered about one thing, Ron Angle. The taxpayers, seniors, etc. are just pawns in his egomaniacial world of getting whatever he wants.

I have to admit, that was pretty funny. Poor Ron, how dare someone raise their voice to such a gentleman.

    Gotta love it!
